What a weekend! Even though it feels really good to be home, I'm all smiles about what was accomplished over the past few days. New friendships were formed, old ones were solidified, and a LOT of money was raised for Give Kids the World. Along with being an extremely successful fundraiser, I found myself sitting back and completely taking in all of the smiles on everyone's faces; I'm so glad that everyone enjoyed themselves. What a truly magical event this has been!

I am so extremely excited about the amount of money we raised, and want you to know that it will be announced at some point during the next few days. We need to just check over it one more time, but I can tell you this: Jersey, you did good!

@Kim - you were an AMAZING TastyKake eater!! I was trying to get a video of Greg to prove to family members that he actually did it. I wasn't able at that time to really see the other contestants. So I watched it when we got home. You did a Great job! :thumbsup2 and you guys were acing the Name that Tune contest too!! Thanks so much for coming and participating!!!

What was everyone's favorite memory from this weekend? :)

Mine was just sitting back and watching everyone have a good time. It really touched me to see EVERYONE feel included, smiling, and happy. That was #1 for me (along with raising some BIG BUCKS!!!!). :grouphug:

It was great to meet everyone and raise money for a great cause but I'll have to admit that for me, the best part was meeting the podcast crew.

Wow! That's awesome. Linda was really understating it when she said it was at least $5,000.

I knew I was!! I just wasn't sure HOW much I was understating it! ::yes::
Our hope was to announce the real total right there in the room, but we still had more loose ends.

I was pretty sure we were over $8000, and likely over $10,000, but we didn't want to commit that early!

I am THRILLED that everyone had such a good time, met new friends and all showed up ready to help Give Kids the World. :goodvibes

    Wow, that's a lotta dollars!

I have to say the often times when you have any kind of 'event' planned for a long time you build it up in your head. And build. And build. And build. And when that day(s) finally comes it never really lives up to what you've built up in your head. But driving home with my wife Kim (#1 women in Tastykake eating contest) we both agreed that this not only lived up to what we had built up in our minds but far exceeded it!

It was just really amazing meeting and spending time with everyone. Getting a chance to score some cool Disney stuff, seeing another live pod cast, sharing my first Butterscotch Krimpet with Corey, bowling with the Dis crew and just plain ol' having a good time chatting with everyone! It was especially fun chattin' with Shaunathan form the Dis, he's a sweetheart!

    :D

I had a blast. Thank you to all the organizers. Thank you to the Podcast team for making the trip up north. I still can't believe that I actually met the folks who have entertained me for over six years.

The podcast is up on iTunes. I think I was a little nervous when asking my question. Does anyone know where to find Galvesteen:)
