So Disney is out this year, DH's car needs some major repairs, so we are trying to plan a smaller trip closer to home. One of the ideas we, well really me, are tossing around is a trip to Niagara Falls. We would be traveling the first week of April and right now I have my eyes on the Shearton Falls Hotel, looks like they have a really cool indoor water park. I am just wondering how much really would there be for us to do? Would the Maid of the Mist be up and running. Also I know the weather could be chilly or it could be mild. Just not sure if that would be the best time to go. We, I mean me, have also been thinking about Tennesse or Kentucky. What I am really looking for is some place that is less that 8 hours drive time from Detroit and on the cheap side. Since Disney is out I would like to take a nice relaxing family vacation somewhere for four or five days. DS is four and I want the trip to be fun for him. We are pretty open to wherever. An indoor water park would be a major plus. My ideal trip would be somewhere were we could spend a part of the day exploring the sites and part of the day relaxing at the hotel.
