I think you should get one to bring with you Deborah...
We saw your family all over the ship, and my kids loved seeing a "helper doggie" everywhere. We hope you had a great time!
We also have a black lab, named Bailey. And a yellow lab, Dixie! So seeing Shadow, oh I just wanna hug em! I've always been fascinated with service dogs, so can I ask you...what services does he provide for you? And do you allow people to come over and pet him or is that a huge distraction for him? thanks!
great service dog,you should treat them well with wholesale dog supplies cauze they helped you a lot
My kids would go nuts if they saw a dog on our cruise. My daughter would be knocking on your door every 10 minutes wanting to pet the dog - ha! How do you keep all the kids from loving on Shadow all during the cruise - seems like it would be a big challenge!
Shadow pulls me in my manl chair, picks things up that I drop, open & close doors...
yes its huge distraction for him to be petted on the job..
Hi Mark: Great report and pics! Looking forward to meeting you, your wife, and Shadow on the Magic.
I loved reading your TR! We're looking forward to meeting you in January!
Great report and pics. Looks like you had a blast! Shadow is a doll!
I looked at your trip report the other day and went back in today because I just had to see those adorable pictures of Shadow again and now I can't see any of the pictures. Is it just my computer acting up or did you remove all the pictures of Shadow? By the way, it sounds like you had a great time. Thanks!
They are there for me
It must be my computer - I will try rebooting it and seeing if that corrects the problem. Thank You for letting me know that the pics are still there
its still here
Ok... so what are you up to???
planing a few new cruises!!!!
Make sure you keep us up to date on the Adventures of Shadow!!!
I have just found this thread and very interesting. I am a dog trainer and worked for Hearing Dogs in the UK for many many years until recently. I do cruise a lot and have been in discussions with them about access for dogs on UK cruise lines, as most of the trainers have little experience of cruising.
Some problems obviously arise, toileting being the main one, although our dogs are trained to toilet on command, it was interesting to see your tub with the grass - has got me thinking a bit really.
A meeting has taken place with one of the large cruise companies strangely enough by coincidence, I got chatting to one of the senior managers about my job when I was on holiday with this company and she was picking my brains about the implications of assistance dogs on a ship on an informal basis. Wish I had seen your photos then!.
Very interesting to see and the boots thing - we hadn't even thought about that!!!!
