The Reedy Creek Improvement District has just approved plans to build a third parking garage and pedestrian bridge to support the future growth of Disney Springs. Owned and operated by Reedy Creek Improvement District, the garage will be located across from Disney Springs near the Casting and Speedway parking lots and add approximately 2,000 parking spaces for Guests, Cast and Operating Participant Employees.
Similar to the existing garages, the new one will feature the same smart technology that makes finding an open space easy and hassle free. The new pedestrian bridge will span across Buena Vista Drive and also will be similar in features to the existing bridges.
Work is set to being in 2017 and completed in 2019

Their really making DS nice. Another parking garage is nothing but good news.

I wish all the outlet malls in Orlando had parking garages

I will be very happy when the construction is done. It's like driving to the airport...has been in a state of construction for 14 years.

Ah, ok. Didn't know if there was a formal filing somewhere.

Just gonna guess since she said it was just approved/posted that it was approved yesterday at the Reedy Creek Board of Supervisors meeting. They do a good job of keeping things very close to the cuff. Once approved it will probably then go forward with permit process with Orange County which we would then have easy access to the permits filed.

Prime Vineland does.

Do you mean Premium Outlets on Vineland?

They do have a garage and I use it but it's not convenient to entering the mall, since it was built much later, especially in rain.

I think there used to be a Prime Outlet on International but thinking it's not there anymore.

It's still there and it's a nightmare to get to/park especially on the weekends. No garage in that one

Hopperfan's half right, I'm all wrong. When Simon bought them, they changed the names of both locations to Premium. The one on I-Drive used to be called Prime, the one on Vineland was called something else. I just got confused about what the name was changed to.

So the International Premium outlets used to be called Prime, but there is no longer any outlets called Prime?

I've never gone there, always wondering if I am missing something.

I've seen/heard even more things are coming to Disney springs in the not too distant future. This is other than retail and dining so a new garage makes sense.
