Have a quick question about the new BOG lunch policy? I'm hearing that you now have to wait in line for a FP with a return time instead of lining up on the bridge around 10:30 and just waiting until they open. If this is the case, what time can you start getting tickets for a return time and does everyone in your party have to be present when you get the ticket? Also, is the policy the same for everyone or do people with magic bands get any perks? Thanks!

Demand for the Magic Kingdom's Be Our Guest Restaurant shows no sign of wavering, and Disney has now implemented a new standby line policy during lunch.

Guests arriving for lunch without a FastPass+ reservation are now given a timed ticket, similar to the old FASTPASS system, and asked to return to the restaurant at that time. Once all the return times have been given out, a sign is posted that no more standby guests will be admitted.

The FasPass+ reservations for lunch at Be Our Guest are only available to Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests, so this new policy means that non-resort guests must arrive early to obtain a ticket, or dine elsewhere.

Dinner continues to be table service with reservations, and is not affected by the new policy. No word on if the change will be permanent - Be Our Guest has implemented a number of systems since opening, so is subject to change at any time.

    Thank you for this information.
Would we now line up around 10:30 am to get a return time ticket?
I'm down for that although I'm staying at the GFVs and the first part of my trip is just my mom and me so if I get it great, if not, no biggie.

So if you are staying on property how can you schedule a FastPass + for lunch?

This is in a test. It usually doesn't open up until 25-30 days out. If you are eligible you will receive an email, but you can usually book a couple of days before you get the email.
