My sister and I are going for the Glass Slipper Challenge in February, and trying to make a few ADRS while we are there. We are staying at BWV from Friday-Monday AM, and will have a car while we are there. We will not be getting park tickets. I do not like food that is too exotic, so we are trying to find a blend of interesting and familiar.

    Here is our current plan:
Arrive Friday, and have dinner at Downtown Disney-here is where we are looking for suggestions...currently thinking of Raglan Road or T-Rex

Saturday-Run the 10k, breakfast afterwards at Cape May Cafe...pretty sure we want this one. Suggestions for a QS dinner in the Epcot resort area that evening?

Sunday-Run the princess half, then we'd like to do dinner in the MK resort area (probably on the monorail, though we haven't ruled out Wilderness Lodge) that night so we can see Wishes from the beach at the Poly after dinner. I know Ohana is the obvious choice here, but looking for other suggestions as well.

I'm also open to any suggestions for great QS places outside the parks.

    Thanks for your help!

I really like Raglan Road, so I highly recommend that one. Cooke's of Dublin (connected to Raglan Road) is also good, as is Earl of Sandwich.

At the Epcot area resorts, there aren't a lot of QS options, except the BW Bakery (it looks yummy, but I haven't been there since it re-opened) and the Marketplace at the Beach Club. I think I would wander back to DTD if that's feasible.

For the Poly, I do like 'Ohana. If you want something a little more upscale at WL, I would think about Artist Point. The food is very good and you'll have a chance to look around the WL.

Our favorite, hands down, is Raglan Road. We did have a meal at T-Rex and were pleased with it - I had a fish special that was very good.

    Another vote for Raglan Rd!
And you can go to Babycakes or Ghiradelli afterward for a great treat!!!

T-Rex was also great when we went, so either way you can't go wrong!

Pretty much no QS options in the Epcot resort area.

I'm not sure if this list is considered QS since I do not use the DDP,
    -Hurricane Hanna's at YC/BC pool
    -Leaping Horse Libations Boardwalk pool
-Beaches & Cream at YC/BC really not sure if TS or QS

Another vote for Raglan Road on Friday. We love it there.

The Beach Club Marketplace also has Flatbreads and soup and sandwiches.

There is a sticky at the top of this thread with info on all the QS options in the Epcot Resort area. There are more than you might think if you are not looking to use DDP credits.

    Good Luck with the races.

Also, the Crew's Cup Lounge at the Yacht Club serves food. They have a menu of their own and you may be able to get some things from Yachtsman there as well, according to allears. Hubby and I are planning on trying this out next week :)

Don't forget about the Swan/Dolphin restaurants. They have the Fresh Mediterranean Market, Picabu, and the Fountain which are CS (well the Fountain is not technically CS, but the food is similar).

    Thanks for all the suggestions!!
Sounds like we will definitely have to go with Raglan Road on Friday...any tips about that particular restaurant? Best time to make ADRs for, ect

We will not have the dining plan, so that gives us a little more flexibility reguarding QS meals....anywhere we can grab a meal without having restaurant reservations is great. Thanks for the idea of checking out the swan/dolphin food....I always seem to overlook those :scratchin

Would you recommend Kona for breakfast or dinner? I forgot to mention in my original post that we are considering going there for breakfast on Monday before we leave....I've been dying to try Tonga Toast!!!!

I also love the idea of a QS meal at POFQ...I wanted to stay at this resort before we decided on BWV, so what a perfect excuse to check it out::yes::

According to the Raglan Road website, the Irish Dancing starts at about 5:00 pm and runs until 10:00 pm. There is also a live band that performs at roughly the same time. If you want to see the dancing and the band, you'll need to be seated in the main room. There is a side room (to the left when you enter the main room); but you really won't be able to see much of the dancing or the band if you're seated in there. I don't know if RR will you request a room, but it's something to keep in mind if you really want to (or don't want to) be seated where you can watch the show.

In terms of food, there is a lot of really good items. I like the scallop forest or Calamari City appetizers, the Fish and Chips or Sod the Stew (Guinness beef stew) or Raglan Risotto for entree, and the Jaffa Dunbrody Kiss for dessert. If you like chocolate, the Dunbrody Kiss is awesome! :goodvibes

It seems RR is the most popular DTD eatery on this thread, but I've got a question for any T-Rex fans around here. How does it compare to a Rainforest Cafe? It looks very similar to Rainforest (concept wise) which makes me a little concerned because I am NOT a Rainforest fan. Thoughts?

I really like RR but as this trip is for my dd... We're doing rainforest cafe. If imagine that T. rex is very similar.

Haven't been to a RFC since Arizona about 10 years ago so I'm fine with the chaos. lol

We thought T-Rex (last week) was better than Rainforest (at AK). The setting/theming is much more involved, the meteor shower is really neat. The mushroom ravioli with lobster sauce was amazing. The service was a bit slow, but we weren't in any hurry after scoring a 5:00 walk up at the end of June in the pouring rain. Much preferred to Rainforest.

On my last trip, just this past May, they let us request a room. :). We showed up for our ADR, and were brought to that side room, I simply asked if maybe we could get a seat with a view of the stage... They were happy to relocate us, we just waited a few extra minutes... Also, I had the Shepherd's Pie... OMG amazing lol.
