A few years ago, we purchased a beach house in Gulf Shores, AL. We are starting to rent it out & I would like to come up with a cute, catchy name. Anyone want to throw some beachy themed names out there? Thanks for any & all help!

If I am ever lucky enough to own a beach house, I am going to name it Hakuna Matata.

Paint it blue and call it Blue Crush. We loved one called Don't Bug Me; it had a dragonfly theme. I've stayed in a house called Bay Dream Believer; are you old enough to remember The Monkees?

Out on the east end of LI in Montauk there is a lovely beach home with the name PASSING WIND.

    I am not kidding. Epic.

It actually is blue :thumbsup2! I do remember the Monkees. My mom always listened to oldies when I was growing up so I loved them all! She took me to a beach boys concert last year for my birthday:goodvibes

If I ever have a beach cottage to name, I want to call it Cair Paravel, after the castle in the Narnia books (and movies).

:rotfl: I promise we're not well off by any means. We found a great deal on a foreclosure that we couldn't pass up.

I LOVE naming houses. I've named many houses (none of which actually exists, though!)

The dream beach house that I can't afford is called the Flaming O. It is pink and has Flamingos all over it.

How about the Gato Azul for this one, OP? Do you like cats?

Azul is a nice beachy word.

    Azul Mer?

But the OP didn't share her problems. You never know, he/she might have some doozies!

I like the name Casa Azul like a PP said...

Choose something that is special to you for the name!!!

Over the years, the names I remember where we stayed and names that stuck with me even though we didn't stay there:

    Mellow Yellow
    Lucky Dog
    A Touch of Seaglass
    Dill Pickle
    Lucky Dog
    02 Easy
    Que Sera Sera
    Bella Breeze
    Beach Music

There have been many others. I just can't think of them.

Go to beachrentalsofsouthwalton.com and garrettrealty.com and check out the names there for inspiration.

    Abilone Blue
I used to love combing the beach in Naples with my mom...and she would make such a fuss when I found abilone, I thought it was the prettiest shell ever.

I have a house on Ono island in Orange Beach, there are many houses here with cute names, being a parrot head I like the ones with song titles like One particular Harbour or Bama Breeze, but some are a play on the owners name or occupation like Sea-questered and Cardiac Rest. One down the street from me is Endless Summer. A guy who likes to fish has "Crack of noon fish camp" on a sign by his driveway.

I've always wanted to name a beach house Sand Haven.

    Some others...

    Sea Blue
    Drift Wood
    Barefoot Trace
    Tide Me Over

    More good Jimmy Buffett songs...

    Changes in Latitude
    A Salty Piece of Land
    Coastal Confessions

I really like Blue Abilone that a PP suggested! And Bama Breeze is cute too!
