The 26th race this season is our 2nd visit to Richmond Raceway for the "Federated Auto Parts 400" on SATURDAY, September 9th.
Qualifying is set for FRIDAY, September 8th. Please make your picks before qualifying is scheduled to begin.
Richmond Raceway is a short track at 3 quarters of a mile per lap. We'll see 300 miles in total after all 400 laps are run.
This race will be a heartbreak for some that don't do well here and miss the Chase. Of course, I keep an eye on someone who is assured of making the chase and kind of holds back. We shall see what we shall see.
My Richmond picks based on this that and the other thing:
K Larson <~~~ Young and hungry....he won't hold back....
B Kezelowski <~~~ Holding back is not in the #2's vocabulary....
K Harvick <~~~ A fierce competitor....he'd race hard if he had already won the chase....
J Logano <~~~ Something tells me the #22 is not comfortable where he sits now...I'm looking for him to make a move to save some ground...
R Newman <~~~ He holds his future of this season in his hands...I'm of the mind he will be VERY aggressive....VERY aggressive! He will either get in with a lot of hoop-la or he'll flame out like a meteor..
My spare will be D Hamlin....
