COTA is short for the Circuit Of the Americas road course track where the "Echopark Texas Grand Prix" will be raced on SUNDAY, March 23rd.
Please make your picks before the start of the race.
This is the 14th race this year.
The race will be 68 laps over a 20 turn road course with a lap distance of 3.426 miles. The total race distance will be 231 miles.
FIRST NASCAR RACE EVER HERE!
Sanctioning contracts with other speedways in the area prevents NASCAR scheduling races. Notably, Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth (3 hours away) had an agreement with NASCAR when COTA opened in 2012.
On September 30, 2020 those issues were laid to rest when NASCAR announced the May 23, 2021 race.
In December it was announced the race would be run on the full 3.426 mile course and not the 2.2 mile road course.
So no history to report.
So, in what may be described as going out on a limb or flying by the seat of my pants I offer my COTA picks
