Napa Rose Lounge Hot Chocolate

I have been reading great reviews about the hot chocolate at the Napa Rose Lounge. I was wondering is it possible to order one to go? If so do you just go to the bar and order or what is the best way to do so? Thanks!

It's not so much the hot chocolate that is amazing, it's the donuts that they serve with it. The lounge is not set up to order "to go" items. If you sit down and order the hot chocolate, they will bring it to you in a nice cup, with a plate of very nicely presented donuts. It's a very fancy dessert, and I think it costs like $14. You can't just get the hot chocolate. And, it's more like "drinking chocolate"...it's a small amount. Not a large 12 oz mug.

Agree. You can't really order to go and you wouldn't really want to since it is a full presentation. You don't have to eat dinner, but you will need to sit down in the lounge. And it is drinking chocolate, not a traditional hot cocoa.

If you would like a fancy hot chocolate to go, try the lobby in GCH. They have more traditional, but delicious hot cocoa.

Negative...made from real melted chocolate...it is amazing.

Very much more of a sipping chocolate dessert.

...but it is seasonal. Does anyone know if it is back on the menu yet?

Ohhhhh, the BEST hot chocolate ever! So rich and decadent. I'm not sure if it's back on the menu yet, but it should be soon if it's not already.

Agree with the above comments that you wouldn't want it to go-- it's the perfect excuse to cozy up in the Napa Rose lounge and relax with a treat. You can order anything off the menu in the lounge, so if think you might want something more substantial (but not a full dinner), I recommend their truffle mac and cheese, which is on the menu as a side dish. So good!

I've had it in January, but when I asked for it last Feb. they said they had just stopped serving it because it's seasonal. Maybe it's during their official holiday season?
