Ok when the rest of my family is eating with our dining plan, do I have to purchase his meals seperate or do they feed him for free?

If you purchase a meal for him, you have to pay for it OOP. I did have a very nice server at Kouzzina bring my 2 YO a plate of plain noodles once without charging us, however, that was a one time occurrence and isn't the norm everywhere, just a little disney magic :). Usually they give you a drink for free for the little one, but otherwise, they are expected to eat off your plate (with portion sizes at WDW we never had a problem with this, lol).

drinks for little ones are not always free either unless it is buffet. i got charged (which is fine) at chefs de france for my toddlers drink even though at other restaurants they give it to him for nothing. its all pixie dust. but your child will not get "free" food unless they share from your plate or buffet.

He can share off your plate for free, he can have a plate at a buffet for free. If you order something from the menu you will pay oop.
