Muscle pain with weight loss

Hi All,

So I have started doing treadmill workouts in an attempt to get healthy and all that good stuff.

I'm finding now that I've lost my first 10 pounds, I'm getting more muscle aches and pains than I did prior to the weight loss. Particularly I get it in my right hip. As far as I know I don't favor the right over the left for walking or running or anything.

But my wife told me that muscle aches and pains when losing weight is normal. I'd never heard of that before... anyone else have this?

FWIW, I have arthritis-type pain from my waist to just below my knees when I eat peanut butter, peanuts or nuts. As soon as I cut those from my diet the pain goes away.

It will get bad in my knees (making me feel weak in the knees), but it's particularly bad in my right hip.
