Monorail Photos

I have a question that we can't seem to find an answer for. According to our consultant, we may only have photos in our wedding entire at our ceremony and reception areas. I have seen countless photos of brides in their dress on the monorail.

Are we able to hop on the monorail for quick photos? Is this with an escort from Disney? Or are these couples just kinda quickly hopping on and off?

Oh goodness I hope not! I didn't actually ask my coordiantor but that's probably a good idea. With our 4 hours of limo we were planning on going to the resorts, Downtown Disney, park entrances and monorail for unprofessional pictures. I'd be sad if we couldn't. I thought it was just in the parks you couldn't go? Are all these places out of bounds then?

The way it was explained to me is so that brides do not run into each other or see each other on the wedding day, you may only walk around in your dress in your booked areas.

We too had wanted to go around to different areas(not in the parks) and maybe different resorts but were told we could not do that

My wedding coordinator emailed me back:

You CAN wear your wedding attire at any of the resorts or Downtown Disney, just not the theme parks :)

I didn't ask about the monorail but I'd assume that's included too.

Our wedding was at 10:00 am at the WP and we booked Randy Chapman (our photographer) for an extra 3 hours after our reception. We went to the boardwalk for photos... I could tell my planner didn't like it, but we did it. After your reception, you are done with your planners. We also ran into another bride at the boardwalk... It was no big deal.

Just ask my DH about pictures around the resort. He'll tell you about the 4+ hours I made him walk around having our photo taken. :rotfl2:

We did an Escape wedding. We did the MK shots at 6 in the morning in front of the castle. Went directly to the WP & did pictures until our 9AM wedding. Did more pictures outside the WP until we went over to the GF for... wait for it... more pics! :lmao: Since there was rain, they had us do our cake & champagne reception in the entry area of Citrico's, where we got lucky and had a few impromptu photos with Aurora (she was evidently just going backstage, the entrance for BS was through Citrico's, and she & her escort saw the wedding clothes & decided to stop!)

After that, we still had 3 hours of photography with the outside photographer we used. We took the limo over to Epcot & got pictures outside the park (got some great shots with Spaceship Earth in the background).

From there, we got pics in front of/on the monorail as we went to the TTC. Took the ferry from there to the entrance of MK (great shots on the ferry too!) for more pics there.

Then.... (yeah, not done yet!) back on the monorail to the Poly for pics inside & on the beach. My memory gets sketchy there.... I believe we took the boat from there to MK again, and then to WL where we had our wedding luncheon. I know we ultimately got to the WL by boat.

Yeah - it was a little crazy, but I loved the pics we got.

wow, sounds like you guys went EVERYWHERE!!! Good for you!

Are your pictures anywhere we can see them, I'd love to see your photos, especially the ferry and monorail ones!!

Thanks
Brooke

Although I keep meaning to, I haven't put most of them up. I did, however, put up a few of my favorites right after we got them, and I haven't bothered to update my page in, well, forever.

If you want to see the ones I do have up, though:

I meant to put that in the first post, but forgot.
