The villains event looks like a ton of fun. Odd you mentioned the sexiness and kids as I had always thought it was adults only given the night club vibe. Must have been a very strange mix indeed.

The star wars seating area sounds great. Since they moved the food inside, what would they have done if it rained? Would you still have to pay for the party with no fireworks?

Yes, you would. There was a couple there wanting a refund and they were told that they would try finding them another night to exchange but no refunds. Most of Disney's firework parties work that way. I read that starting 7/10 the Dessert Party is moving inside the Star Wars Launch Bay and that guests will then be escorted to the viewing area. I wasn't going to book the Party for Julia and I but am very curious about this new set up so I went ahead and booked it yesterday.

Definitely a weird vibe at Club Villain! Looks like it is no longer being offered. Very weird since they did so well with the theming and it seemed to be a financial success. I hope it will come back.

Definitely try Trails End! If I end up back there with DH in October, I will definitely be trying that drink menu!

I really loved the burnt ends hash and the pulled pork sandwich at Flower and Garden. So good!

Your meal at the Boathouse looks SO GOOD! My fiance saw the sliders on the menu and said whenever we get there he'll definitely get those.. I may need to get them too! I seriously love a good wedge salad and that one looks like it did not disappoint.

We had Trails End booked for our last trip, I have been soo wanting to go to breakfast there! We cancelled it ultimately. Glad you liked it. We will have to get there!

Most of your meals look so good. I definitely should not be reading DRs during night shifts.
I have fond memories of Ample Hill when I went there 2 years ago at their original location in Brooklyn. That ooey gooey butter cake is the best!
Club Villian looks like a lot of fun. Didn't get to do it while I was there. It's too bad it's no longer available.

Also congrats on the weight loss! I myself started weight watchers about a month ago.

Sorry for the lag between reviews! We spent a fantastic holiday weekend in Boston and it has been hard getting back into the real world!

The next morning we met my sister and nephew for breakfast at Crystal Palace ...

My plate



Pooh's puffed French toast, bacon, Mickey Waffle, pastry, breakfast pizza and corned beef hash

Everything was pretty good with the puffed French toast being outstanding! We all enjoyed our meal

We separated for a bit. We headed back to POP for a bit of a rest and then went to EPCOT.

Jerk-spice Grouper or Chicken with Mango Salsa, Chayote and Green Papaya Slaw with Lime-Cilantro Vinaigrette and Jamaican-braised Beef with Pigeon Pea Rice and Micro Cilantro

The fish was good, very fresh tasting with the salsa. But the beef - OMG was this great! Very tender and flavorful



Mezze Lune Primavera: Egg Pasta stuffed with Ricotta and Spinach in a Creamy Sauce with Spring Vegetables and Pecorino Cheese

This wasn't very good. Very bland and the pasta was mushy for my taste

First up the chips and salsas



I really enjoyed these. I like to mix the two salsas together.

Avocado margarita and an iced tea



These seem to be loved or hated. I love them. I don't taste avocado but enjoy the flavor combo

DSis had a split of champagne



Loved the little bucket



We started with the guacamole



and Queso



The Queso is one of DS's favorite WDW foods. We all enjoyed both of these

DNephew had chicken fingers and rice



He is a very picky eater. After I removed all the peas (that's what Aunt's are for, right?), he ate it all. Even the green beans

DSis is a vegetarian so they gave her a special menu



I am most definitely not vegetarian but the grilled veggie tacos sounded good!



They were really tasty. Very light and fresh after some heavier food this week than I had been used to eating

DS had the Taquiza - taco sampler featuring grilled chicken with green tomatillo sauce, grilled steak with roasted chipotle sauce and rajas poblanas, pork chilorio served with queso fresco, and a battered fish served with a mayo-chipotle sauce topped with cabbage



He enjoyed all of these and couldn't pick a favorite



Rice and beans came with them but none of use really ate much of these

DSis had the veggie empanadas with a cilantro flavored rice



I thought the empanadas were a bit bland. Adding some salsa helped. The rice was quite good

DNephew had the Dulce de Leche Ice Cream.



He usually only eats vanilla but the waitress told him this tastes 'just like vanilla'. It didn't. It was delicious. And he ate every bit except the one he gave each of us to taste!

Coffee for DS



Pretty sure DSis had another champagne. I was stuffed. Heck of a thunder storm while we were there so we hung out a bit. It was only raining lightly when we headed to the buses. Made it back to POP before it stormed again!

All in all a very enjoyable meal. I know Hacienda can be hit or miss but for the most part we have enjoyed our meals here. Will definitely be going back.

I have really enjoyed our trips over the years. I cannot understand where the time has gone! DS's GF is from Brooklyn and she has never been to Ample Hills. I plan to take her to the one on the Boardwalk during our quick trip next weekend.

I don't understand why they didn't keep Club Villain around. It was themed so well, I thought for sure it would stay.

Thanks! I miss him so much when he is away at College. Cannot believe that in only a year and a half he will be completely out on his own. I cherish these trips!

Yummy report so far, can't wait for more!! La Hacienda and an avocado margarita....mmmmm! I agree there's no avocado flavor in that margarita...I think it's in there more for the creamy texture. I do taste the melon liquor...it gives the essence of banana, with the combination of avocado texture and the hint of melon flavor. So good! I will be enjoying one in 16 days!

OMG my son has chosen this restaurant for us for some strange reason (he is a picky eater but he likes mexican food and chips and queso is one of his favorite things on the planet). I have explained to him that the queso there is not the sauce he is used to but molten cheese is one of his favorite food groups I think he will like it. I asked on the main restaurant board but is chorizo and poblano mixed into it or just on top? yours looks like it barely has any on top, which would be good news for kiddo (bad news for me) and it looks like pristine cheese.

Also. does the dulce de leche kid's dessert have churro mickey ears or am I mistaken? Kiddo could not decide which dessert he wanted, that would definitely sway it toward the ice cream if there are churros too!
