This is in Columbia at the Riverbanks Zoo. I love this zoo! They have beautiful botanical garden areas also.

It looks like you and your daughter really get along great - am enjoying the pre-trip report, especially since it helps me count down to our trip too (we'll be on the boat with you). I hope my daughter and I turn out as close as you two seem when she's that age. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

I got my fish extender on Ebay too - couldn't pass up a way to have a nice looking one instead of some piecemeal thing I'd throw together - you think YOU'RE not crafty! I only recently lost an epic battle with a glue gun. I had to buy a costume in the middle of the night because I couldn't even glue together a few pieces of heavy paper! Sheesh.

It's Sunday. I'm leaving tomorrow. And I have not started packing!
My DD has been sick all weekend (coughing, sneezing,stuffiness, etc).
I'm hoping to get a doctor's appointment for ther first thing in the morning. She has asthma, so everytime the weather changes, she gets sick. So I'm hoping the doctor can fit her into the schedule. I've been giving her cold medicine, Benadryl all weekend, but it hasn't really helped.

I'm going to ask the doctor if she plans on prescribing her an antibiotic, if she can give her one of the 3 day dosage, instead of a 7 day so she won't be sick during our trip. She does not have a temperature, just yucky cold symtoms. Our weather has been so crazy, snowing one weekend, then hot the next weekend! So I'm sure that has contributed to it.

The plan is to leave after school & work tomorrow, so hopefully, we won't have to change anything around if I can get her to the Doctor in the morning!

Good news about the Dolphin Excursion:

I checked the Disney website today, and they added the Dolphin Swim to their excursions list in Nassau!!! DD really wanted to do the swim, but they only offered the "encounter".

So I called them today and they switched her booking from the encounter to the swim.

The Encounter is $125
The Swim is $199

I'm enjoying hearing about your plans and what fun you & your DD have had on your many trips. I'm looking forward to your cruise as we are planning our 1st one in Sept, we just haven't decided on which one.
Congrats on the dolphin swim. Your DD will love it & don't worry about the cost, it's minimal compared to what you've spent so far and the memories you will make are priceless.

We made it home! But I am so tired. I actually drove the whole way there and back. I was planning to stop and spend the night both ways, but I just toughed it out and everything went great!
We returned home today about 7pm, so I will start the trip report in the next couple of days.

Just a quick summary:

Monday: Left work early and was on the highway at 2:30pm. (DD was still a little sick, but we made a stop at Walgreens and loaded up on meds)

Tuesday: Downtown Disney and resting

Wednesday: Magic Kingdom (And YES I rode Big Thunder Mountain AND Space Mountain!!!!!!!)

Thursday through today Disney Cruise: It was WONDERFUL!!



My DD now wants to go on the DCL for her 16th birthday!

Hi there - I just wanted to say first, thanks for the FE gifts! My daughter loved everything in the cute packets you put together. Also - I saw you around the boat a couple of times but every time I meant to say hi and introduce myself my kiddo was pulling me in the other direction. We really had a blast - I hope you and DD were healthy and happy during the trip. We will definitely be cruising DCL again! Planning to do a TR of my own after I finally get all the pics scanned - looking forward to reading yours!

It sounds like your DD must have really had a good time since she wants to go back for her Sweet 16! What a smart girl you have!
And I have to say that I am VERY proud of you for braving Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain!!! Was it as bad as you imagined??

I'm not really sure how different it is compared to previous menus, but their food was great!!

I actually ran into TinkRN on the ship, but no one else from the Dis boards. I enjoyed the FE exchange! I delivered mine the first night about 11:30pm. I'll put a pick of all of the FE gifts when I start my TR. I want to read your TR when you get started!

We went to Downtown Disney the day after we arrived in Orlando. We spent 3 nights there before the cruise.

Downtown Disney day was the typical shopping day and we went to Rainforest Cafe.

My DD had to buy this shirt 1st thing upon arriving there.
