Moderators- You need to step up

I think it is very sad that moderators even have to patrol looking for bad behavior. Why can't people just act like they have a brain in their head. People can disagree with someone and it doesn't have to get nasty. It is these people that take the fun out of the Dis Board.

agreed, to a point, I was pming in the midst of a banning on Sat night. Nothing ban worthy! Again, we have these friendships, gone! Why?! I don't get any of this, and I can't claim Andy!

Agreed. Unfortunately, some pretty nasty behavior gets overlooked and others were poofed with no reason given. I happen to have friends who have no idea why they are no longer here.

I haven't read this entire thread, but the first page makes it clear that people are on two very different sides of the fence over moderation. Personally, I think they do the best they can. I used to moderate the Harry Potter board through WB, it was a nightmare to moderate. Imagine cleaning up pornographic fan fiction for hours because teenagers would think it was funny to post.... For what moderaters get for their time and efforts they are unappreciated and take an awful lot of abuse. While some are "real" moderators we all share a part of the job, mods can't be everwhere.
