MK Taxi Suggestions?!?

Hey everyone! I am trying to plan our trip. DDad has a convention in Orlando so we are going with him. However, the convention is 4 days and is held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. That is really close to Universal so we are going to stay onsite at Universal and DDad will drive to convention each morning. We will be moving to WDW hotel after the 4 days but some family will be going to MK one of the 4 days we are spending at US/IOA so we wanted to meet them there. If we were to take a taxi to MK would they drop us of at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then we take the monerail? Is there a way for them to get us closer to the park? I was thinking maybe to have the taxi drop us off at the CR and then we can walk over. What would be easier?!? Also, where would we go to grab a taxi for the ride back. We have never gone to Disney without staying onsite (even though we will be staying onsite 3 days later!) so any information would be VERY helpful! Thanks! :)

Yes, the cab can drop you at the CR...just a short walk over to the MK from there via the sidewalk. When you are ready to leave, just walk back (or take the monorail) to the CR and get a cab from there. There are always cabs available.

Would going to CR be the easiest and fastest way? If we told them to drop us off at MK where would we be dropped off? The T&TC or can they get us closer than that?

ttc if you do mk or right at contemp doors where you can either walk the trail OR hop on the monorail or bus.............walk it, its easy and lovely unless there is a reason not to walk:confused3
have a great time!

Thanks! We have stayed at the CR many times and have no problem taking the path to MK. Thanks again! :)

If you ask to go to the MK, they should take you to the TTC. That is the parking lot for the MK...so it makes sense that cabs go there.
You would have to specifically tell them to take you to the CR. And yes, it would be the easiest and fastest way.
If you go to the TTC, you now have to either take the monorail or the ferry over to the MK....and that could involve wait times of up to 15-20 mins!!
