Me Joh (still 40 at the time of the trip so that is how old I am, OK!). Love Disney, love my DVC, love cocktails

DD Sian (the girl of many nicknames - Siany Shoo, Shaunessy OBell, Shup Sian, Shooey, to name but a few). Loves Lee (her boyfriend), loves her little brother, Daniel (those two have a bond like no brother/sister I have ever known), loves spending money, loves Lays!

This is one of my favourite pictures from our trip, taken on Sian's actual Birthday.

Background:
In March 2013, Sian turned 20. We had both booked the day off work and were planning a shopping trip and lunch out in nearby town, Swindon. Fate conspired against us and a massive pile-up on the M4 found us sitting in traffic for almost 45 minutes of what should have been a 20 minute journey. To pass the time, we got to discussing her 21st the following year and what she wanted to do. We discounted a party as many of her friends and family live such a distance away from us. We briefly considered a weekend away somewhere and then, out of the blue, I said How cool would it be if we could go to Disney World, just the two of us.
I never, for one minute, considered that DH would agree to let us go but, to be honest, the prospect of a week of peace and quiet (Sian and I being the noisy members of the family) must have tipped the scales in our favour and before he could say Oh my God, Ill have to do the cooking myself for a whole week, I had booked flights for the two of us with BA, flying out on 11th March for 7 nights. We had briefly contemplated going a little later, since my Birthday is on the 20th but the original dates worked out slightly better for Sian to get time off from work, and I actually didnt really like the idea of spending my Birthday away from the family.
Knowing that we wanted to spend a fair bit of time at both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, we decided to stay at Boardwalk Villas. We had to wait until 7 months out to book and were unable to get our first choice of a Boardwalk View studio, nor our second choice of Standard View. We were happy to settle for Pool/Garden view though. Somewhere around this time, I was idly playing around on the BA website and realised that, with the current sale on at that time, an upgrade to World Traveller Plus for our return journey would be a steal. So I did that too. With a few more surprises along the way, this turned out to be a fabulous trip and I hope you enjoy following along.
Now, after the rather wordy introduction, I will confess that I didnt take any notes whatsoever after Day 1. I did, however, take LOADS of photos so this is going to be more of a photo trippy, rather than me waffling on (a fact that Im sure some of you will be very relieved about). I am hoping to get the actual trip report started a bit later today
