Hi Everyone!!! I haven't been on these boards in awhile, but I'm happy to say we are going to book this cruise tomorrow!!! :cool1:

My ds and I took our first Disney Cruise May 2005 on the wonder. One month later I met my husband (who loves Disney as much as we do)! We were just married this August!!!

My dh has heard ds and I discuss our wonderful cruise and he is SOOO excited to be going on his first ever cruise. I was waiting to switch our previously planned cruise to this date until I could get on the boards and read up on the ports of call.

It will be Me, Dh and ds (he will be 13...a few weeks shy of 14 when we cruise).

On our last cruise we met up with some people we met on here and it was so nice to know people on that cruise!!

Can't wait to share the fun of planning this cruise with everyone!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

    Hi, right back at you!

Yea! My DS14 (he'll turn 14 in September) will be thrilled to have someone his age from the boards .
    Welcome!

I guess it's time for me to chime in and say HI too. I'm Angie (Ang for short) and we know Laura & Sandi from the blabbermouth cruise (May 2006). Sandi, Larry & Caleb were actually our tablemates back then. Joining me are my DH, & our 2 DDs (one will be almost 9 and other 6.5 ... yikes, that seems so old).

    Thanks for the welcomes!!!

My ds will be glad to hear that someone his age will be there too!!! :cool1:

I've tried to call and actually book the cruise just now...but the system is down...it would figure!! I'll later this evening when things calm down here! I just want to get it booked!!

Is everyone excited about stopping at Tortola?? I noticed that the first DCL stop there is just one before us!

HI, Ang! I was wondering when you'd post! ;) I can't imagine how your girls have grown even since the '06 cruise!

Did you book Main dining again? We tried Late dining last time, but decided we'd go back to the earlier time for this cruise. :)

Is your son looking forward to The Stack (the teen club)? On our last cruise, DD was barely old enough to get in, but they let her in and she had the time of her life!! She made friends with lots of kids from our Disboards Cruise Meet thread PLUS lots of other young teens who didn't know anything about Disboards!!!

On our last cruise, the teens got their own thread going and got to know each other before the cruise. Maybe that would be a good thing to set up sometime in the future. (by fall of 2008?)

I did book main dining again. I think late dining is just too late for us since we're used to eating dinner at 6:00 at home.

I went to the BVI 11 years ago & had a wondeful time. It was a totally different experience though. There were 16 of us & we chartered 2 catamarans for 1 week & sailed around the BVI. We sailed out of the marina in Tortola but never did anything there. Someone else mentioned Soper's Hole & The Baths. I did both of those. The Baths was definitely a memorable place.

Welcome Ang!!!! Glad you and your family are joining us.

Isn't it about time for someone to be keeping a list of who's going?

Emily, are you volunteering? :rotfl: Otherwise, I'll nominate Peter. He is doing such a good job with our September 1 cruise list! :goodvibes

Emily, I see that you're in AL. We'll be driving through AL on Sat. on our way to Louisiana.

Can anyone tell that I don't really feel like being at work today????

Nope, just making the suggestion.:lmao: I think Peter would be perfect for the job.

Yep, good ole North Alabama. Be careful though, we're expecting a good bit of rain pretty much all the way through Christmas.

I don't want to be at work either. Too much to do and so little time.:surfweb:

DCL's system has been down most of the day so that means I need to find other things to do. Cleaning house for Christmas is what won. I'm starting to wish their system would be up so I can do work instead :lmao:

We're in AL also! Just moved here not to long ago. In Shelby County...Chelsa, AL...about 25 minutes or so from Birmingham. Boy the rain is coming down today! We just got back from post office and it is a mess out there!

Tracy, don't you just love house cleaning? It's my favorite pasttime.:lmao: That will be one of my goals for tomorrow night while Jason is at work.

GoofyGal, yeah, another Alabamaian!!!! We're just a couple hours north of you in Huntsville.
