Just booked this cruise for my friend Robin and I. This will be my 5th Disney cruise, her second. Robin and her husband went on one of those other cruise lines a couple of years ago. I brought her over to the bright side in September 2014 and now she really likes cruising Disney. We are trying to do something every 2 years together. I live in VA she lives if FL we met many years ago in cosmetology school and have remained friends since then.

Who is joining us?

We just booked! Three of us will be traveling: DH, me, and our dd will be almost 5 at the time of the trip.

Nope. I've done two cruises, both carnival. This will be our first cruise with our daughter. We are super excited!

We just booked a back to back! We would love to participate in the FE.

Hubby, Myself, Son (will be 5), and daughter (will be 2).

Have you all heard that there will be updates to the Dream this October so when we board there will be some new and exciting features. YAY!!

We just booked earlier this week! It will be our very first family vacation & first cruise. We have two boys who will be 2 1/2 and just shy of 1 1/2 this time next year.

I thought I read somewhere there were going to be a few fun changes with the ship. Anyone know the details?

Hi All,

This will be my first Disney cruise, and only my second cruise ever. I'll have hubby and my six and four year old (by then) with me. I've read about fish extenders and want to participate. Is there someone to go to sign up? I assume it is a gift her night, is that correct? Can you do a gift for the cabin or is a gift for each person in the cabin?

Welcome! I think once more and more people sign up for the cruise & find this page some sort of sign up will start for the fish extenders. Maybe someone with more experience has a little more knowledge but I have read that some cruise meetups move onto a facebook group so everyone can get to know each other and the ages of the kids participating. Some also break up the participants into smaller groups (no more than 15-20) which in my opinion is much more manageable than trying to hand out 50-80 treats to participants. You can do it for just your kids or do it for everyone in the cabin. I haven't seen any restrictions while researching online.

There is a social media place where you can sign up for the fish extender but they can not be mentioned on this board.

No need to create groups/documents outside of this thread, everyone! Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and Fish Extender (FE) discussions right here on The DIS as they have since FE began (also here on The DIS) many, many years ago.

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via a conversation message in your profile here. We've found that the best way to organize the "spreadsheet" without sharing private info is to upload the pdf into a conversation and share it only with the designated people who signed up.

Unfortunately, posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

PLEASE review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted, offered or discussed by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions, here on the Cruise Line forum, etc.).

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

DISboards Fish-Extender Basics

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
