What's left to do??? A pre-trip report, of course!!

We are a family of 5 from the east coast of Canada.

Life currently looks like this..

We've been to Disney World twice, the last time being last March. We've always stayed off site, rented cars, no dining plans and mixed in other parks (Sea World, Legoland).

I've never wanted to spend the money required to stay at Disney. Every year we go and every year, I wished we'd bitten the bullet and stayed on site and truly take our time to experience everything Disney has to offer. So I finally did it!!

I was all like..

But DH was all like..

He's not a big Disney freak like me.

When: March 2-16. 2 WHOLE WEEKS!

Who: Me (35), DH (37), ODS (9), YDS (7) and DD (2.5)

Me - I'm a fan of all things Disney. Beauty and the Beast is my all time fav, but I'm also a big Mickey Mouse fan and LOVE Frozen.

Pictures of me by myself just don't exist. I am the picture taker of the family so not many of me.

DH - Completely indifferent. He could be staying in a Motel 6 in the middle of the country and not care. See above.

ODS (9)- Loves Star Wars and rollercoasters

YDS - Likes most things Disney, but very hard to please. Loves all rides

DD - LOVES princesses, mostly Frozen, Mickey & Minnie and LOVES Baymax! I so hope he's greeting while we are there. She loves rides, mostly the carousel. She is so full of personality.

Being proper Canadians, our winters are filled with hockey. Hockey practices, hockey games, tournaments, hockey meetings, hockey, hockey, hockey. It seems like from Sept - May our lives are scheduled around hockey.

Where to stay?

Never staying onsite before, I was immediately overwhelmed with the choices..

Here are the things I knew. I wanted Deluxe.. cuz dream vacation. I wanted monorail.. cuz 3 kids. I wanted great pool because the only thing my kids like better then rides is swimming.

My first thought was CR. Staying in a hotel room with 3 kids makes me feel..

Studios are small so I thought a 1 bedroom villa would be good so started looking at BLT. I came across how to rent points, so that's the way we went.

I contacted David's about renting points. 1 bedrooms with a standard view were all booked up and lake views are significantly more points, so I finally decided on doing a split stay. 1 week at BLT in a 1 bedroom lake view and 1 week at BCV in a 1 bedroom. I thought this would give us a good variety of being on the monorail and close to MK and then being close to Epcot/HS and at BCV with a great pool!

I wanna be upfront. I've had a lot of time to plan this trip (since August). I may have gone overboard. There are spreadsheets involved, people. Like with colour coded tabs. My DH is all like..

HAHA!! So proceed with caution!

Your trip sounds awesome. Two weeks in 2 different villas! :thumbsup2 You and your family will love staying on property.

We'll be overlapping a few days. I'll be on a Disney cruise from feb 20 to 27 and then at WDW until March 5th. We're staying at the Poly in a studio rented via DVC points as well. This is kinda a dream trip for me as well since it's my 40th birthday.

Like most people on the DIS we planners all have spreadsheets and lists!

Can't wait to hear about your ADRs and FPs!

I see nothing wrong with this planning especially for a whole two weeks of time at Disney. And here I thought I was lucky with my 6 day trip doing whatever I wanted...
