Hi everyone! I didn't see a group started yet so I figured I would get it going.
This will be my first Disney cruise and I'm hoping that the DIS Boards will be a good place to find others that will be sailing on the Wonder during these dates and also to start planning for the Fish Extender.

Anyone else coming on this cruise?

This will also be our first disney cruise. We love to cruise so we are excited about trying out Disney. We booked connecting balcony cabins which I am excited about. pixiedust: I am intrested in finding out what everyone recommends for the ports (naussa and Key west). I am glad to see I am not the only one who booked a cruise a year in advance. This week happens to be winter break in Montreal.

It depends on what you want to do when it comes to Key West. Family stuff? Singles stuff? Couples stuff? Drinking stuff? Historical stuff? Touring stuff? Adventure stuff?

There's a *lot* to do in Key West and not a lot of time to do it. I'm very familiar with Key West (I'll probably be hanging out with local friends while I'm there) so I may be able to point you in a direction that you will like. Keep in mind, that Saturday is the beginning of Spring Break season for Key West, so there will be a lot of college students there. There was a line outside Flying Monkeys and Fat Tuesday at 10 in the morning when they opened on the first weekend this year. That's Duval Street for you.

When it comes to Nassau, I haven't the slightest idea. I probably won't even go ashore in Nassau, or if I do, it will be close to the ship.

This will be our first cruises as well. Myself, DH and DD's ages 9 & 7. I'm wondering where everyone is staying then night before (if you are flying in early). We are looking at flying into FLL but didn't pay for DCL transfers so hoping to find a hotel with transfers

I believe we are saying overnight in Fort Lauderdale. We can get the hotel transfer from the airport but to get to the port I think we will hire our own transfer for $13 per person

We will probably stay in FLL too, since the evening before will most likely be spent at the Mai Kai. I *never* miss an opportunity to see my friends there. It's the greatest Tiki restaurant and bar in the world.

We will be arriving several days prior and we have rented an apartment in Miami beach. We are a party of 8 and I will get private transportation to the port. The Disney transfers are a bit pricey you might want to check how much it will cost you on your own.

We have been able to do so the past three year. We are skipping 2015 as my son is getting married and we need to travel from NJ to Detroit several times...But in 2016 we are running the 5k in WDW and then cruising!!! Woo Hoo! We'll be celebrating my birthday as well, as mine is shortly before the trip and Key West is my favorite place in the entire world. The stipulation I had for our next cruise was that it had to be to Key West.

I just realized that the new disney movie ZOOTOPIA premiers while we are at sea. Can't wait to see it while sailing. It premiers the 4th of March.

If the new alcohol policy doesn't revert to what it was before we'll be canceling our cruise and renting a place in Key West for the same week for infinitely less. I'll wave to y'all as you leave the port and we watch the sunset from Mallory Square.

I have a friend who is one of the beards and it doesn't look like it will be reversed. :sad2:

Hi everyone. I accidentally posted under the wrong cruise thread so this will be the first time posting here under the correct one. My husband and I, along with our two kids are booked on this cruise. It will be our 3rd Disney cruise. Our first was a 3 night Bahamian and our 2nd was a 7 day eastern caribbean. We're pretty bummed about the new alcohol policy too but we will still probably go. I contacted Disney and they called to say they received my comments and would pass them along but they wouldn't be changing their new policy at this time. We're staying on Miami Beach for 4 days prior and renting a car so we'll just drive and pay for the parking at or around the cruise terminal. We've sailed on the Magic and the Fantasy so this will be our first time on the Wonder.

Hi! I'm Fernanda, from Argentina. and I will be on this cruise too! with some friends and family, we are a party of 13! and we are so happy!
