We returned recently from 6 nites at the Cont. We had made a water view reserv. with a request for a newly renovated room. When we checked in we were given a South Wing room that was the furthest away from the tower, but I knew that end room was larger than a regular room so I was happy.

The room was #6224. Little did I know that the end of building looks like there are 2 rooms, but since the renovations the rooms have been merged into one. (The other room was #6223 but the other room number plaque had been removed) It was a huge suite! Here are some pics, click on any one to see the full size photo:

The room took up this whole 2nd floor section!:

It was an awesome upgrade. I was concerned that it would be too far, but it wasn't bad. There was a stairwell right in between the two entry doors to the room and it led down to an exit door. We used that route often.

The rooms views were awesome the bedroom had two sliding door style windows, the dining room had one and the living area had two. We could see the Electric Water Pageant very well.

I was wondering what the pricing will be for this suite. It is larger than the old suites that were there so it will obviously be more expensive. But it is so far from the tower I can't see people paying as much or more for that suite than a tower suite/room. That is just me though!

If you have any questions please let me know. It was great! The upgrade of a lifetime! Now I am worried that I will never get a good room again ( we have always had good rooms/locations)

We've only been once as a family but are now hopefully going to go more often... I'm trying to decide between BC and CR because we are 5.
I'm really torn between the two. I would love the monorail but the pool at
BC is like adding in a water park at your resort...

Just curious as to why you picked CR from a person that hasn't stayed at either.

We don't always stay at the CR, but do always choose a monorail resort. We have stayed in the Epcot resort area at the Swan/Dolphin, but those were just for one or two nites before our "main" resort resv. began.

We usually go swimming several times in the summer, but probably not every day. We went once on this last trip. So, a great pool isn't as much of a draw to us as to others.

We enjoy the ease of transportation to MK and Epcot because we spend most of our time there, esp. MK.

Wow ~ what an amazing upgrade! How'd you get so lucky? ;)

If that was a "Garden - 1 Bedroom Suite", then according to Deb Wills' site, it's $1040/night for this time of year! :faint:

Was your res. for a Tower room and they put you in a wing? Going in May, res. Tower Room, MK view, worried we may be moved.

    WOW--what a score :cool1:

I can only dream of such an upgrade :cloud9: We are booked for a wing room the first week of May on an AP rate. Throw me some of YOUR pixie dust in hopes the upgrade fairies will work some magic for us too :wizard:

    Loved the pics too.
