    Hello all. I've been on an extended absence fr these boards because after a year of logging my foods and eating on plan and running 5 miles every other day (plus classes etc.) I was just frustrated by the same 5 pounds up and down. My sister suggested I get my thyroid checked.
    Ding ding ding we have a winner!
    So now I'm on meds and ready to do this thing. Disregarding all the small fluctuations last year, I'm down to my last 18 pounds. So lets do this Monday!
    Oh. And two weeks until my third half marathon.

    Lol. I'm glad there's another cruise running nut like me. The longest single run I've done on deck four was just under ten miles (30 laps). But man it's the best views and so few people get up for the sunrises.

    Today's weight = 254
    Total weight loss (5 weeks) = 11.6 lbs!
    I'm even ahead if my hubby who usually sneezes and losses weight. Oh yeah and I'm down a size too!

    I just found this thread so it may already be on here but is anyone else on bodybyvi? I'm doing the 90 day challenge before my cruise! I started last month and have 59 days left before our cruise (I think- haven't checked my countdown!) Anyway if anyone is interested in trying it or learning more you can go to amberdgroff.bodybyvi.com I lost 20 last year before our vacation and kept it off all year, now I'm down to my final 10!! Just thought I'd share!

    Just got back into the swing of things at my weight class Slimming world, lost 3.5 lbs in past week with 11lbs to target weight now 155llbs & on my next cruise 18th May on WBTA

    Great to see everyone sharing their successes and ideas. Since I came back from my last cruise, I have started to fall back into old habits. After a year of being so good. I am working longer hours and therefore using that as an excuse not going to the gym. I am eating the wrong things and not recording. I keep on saying that I will record all my food. Well, I bumped into a friend at the gym on Thursday, and we were both feeling the same way about things slipping. So I came home and recorded my food, but then Friday, didn't I miss going to the gym, but I did record my food. Heading out to the gym in the next half hour. My goal for this week is to record my food daily, and hit the gym 5 days, and sharing on this board a little more often to help me get back on track.

    I started HMR (HarrisFast) in January and am down 15 lbs, on my way to 80 (It's a long journey). Anyway, wondering if the bartenders will make any of the shakes for me? They come in powdered form and need water and ice. Anyone have experience with them mixing them up? I understand that they won't heat your entrees because they didn't make them, but I'll be honest, I'm not cruising to eat diet food. :) But it might be nice to keep on the shake part of the regimine.

    I would search for my answer, but it's disabled at the moment.

    I've never cruised before but you may be able to simply ask for your ice and water to be blended/crushed and then add your powder yourself if they won't mix it.

    Its Monday again. This week was tough. I started an iron supplement which has messed up my stomach like it always does. I thought for sure I would not lose anything our would gain but...

    Today's weight = 254 lbs
    Loss since last weigh-in = 1 lb
    Total loss (6 weeks) = 12.6 lbs
    Days till cruise = 225

    Hi all... I'm new to this thread. I am cruising in July and I decided to lose 50 pounds before then. Over the last 5-6 weeks I managed to lose 17 but gained 1 back. I thought I would use this thread as additional motivation.

    Today I'm at 250.4. I would like to be around 200-215 when we go.
    I have been using the My Fitness Pal app to track my calories and exercise. I also started using the Endomondo app to help me track excercise.

    Here goes...! :)

    This morning I weighed in at 249.4. I'm walking more and finding it easier to do so, but I'm getting a little discouraged. All the weight that started coming off easily at first (a miracle in itself) is slowing down.

    I think it may be because I've been doing more long walks and building leg muscle as well. I did an 8+ mi walk Friday with a friend and another 3+ with the kids a couple days later.

    Has anyone had a similar experience?

    I would love to lose 50 lbs before our cruise January 2014. Today I started running on the treadmill. 3 very slow miles later I am worn out but excited that I started!

    I new to this site and trying to lose 50 lbs too. I'm 40% of the way there but my cruise is this summer.
