I'm planning for our February 2012 trip. We've been many many times and typically meet up with my in-laws on Sunday to have dinner. They are just there to visit us and won't have tickets to get into the parks, so we always try to find somewhere "Disney" to go with them. We've done Whispering Canyon, Chef Mickey's, Poly cafeteria (can't remember name), Rainforest Cafe, and a couple of places on the Boardwalk. We've also eaten with them at Shades of Green, Saratoga Springs, and Port Orleans and several spots at Downtown Disney. We have definately made the rounds!

I'm looking for something different this time. I'm considering Boma, something at Swan or Dolphin, or hmmm.... what else is there? Any suggestions?

What about raglan road in downtown. They have very good food and it's always fun to walk around afterwards to watch the entertainment and just look around.

Have you tried Jiko? We really love that place, and as a perk depending on when your reservation is you can go out and look at all the animals before you eat. Also, every time we've been there are photopass photographers there and we can get a great picture of our entire group.

My first thoughts were Raglan Road in DTD. Jiko is a great idea too. We loved the sushi at Kimonos at the Swan and Dolphin too.

Ohana is really good and so is Jiko. If you want something a little more private teh Turf Club at Saratoga Springs was very good also.

If you haven't done Raglan Road in Downtown Disney, I would put that on top of the list!!!! The bread pudding is FANTASTIC!

If you want a nicer experience with great food....Jiko.
If you want a fun experience with great food....Raglan Road.
If you want a quiet experience....Captain's Grill. (I've eaten there twice, and both times were great...the atmosphere is pretty dull in my opinion, but it isquiet and easy to linger and have a conversation.)
If you want somewhere in the middle of all those....The Wave.

I'd agree with your Boma inclination - and make an evening of it.

In addition to dinner, make sure you schedule story time, animal watching, fire pit, etc. and you should have a lovely evening.

Did you invent a time machine?? :rotfl:

    I would consider the following:
    • bluezoo
    • Il Mulino
    • Shula's
    • Bull and Bear
    • Jiko

    We enjoy and recommend:

Animal Kingdom-Sanaa (view if the Savannah), Jiko and Boma, love all three!
Downtown Disney-Ragland, House of Blues, Portobello's and yes even T-Rex
Dolphin-Bluezoo and Shula's, very pricy but worth it if you like a varied menu and/or a good cut of the protein of your choice!
    Boardwalk-I love Kouzzina!
Saratoga-The Turf Club, very good Prime Rib
    Yacht Club-Yachtsman's steakhouse
Swan-Il Mulino, excellent Italian, very pricy

Depends on what cuisine and price range you're gravitating towards!

I'm not a dessert person but this has converted me! Even if I'm stuffed, we share an order, I just need a least one bite with my coffee!

    Res. for Nov 20th!

Back in September we really enjoyed the Wolfgang Express at downtown Disney. They have good prices and give a 10% discount to passholders.

We like bluezoo at Dolphin, Turf Club @ Saratoga, Wolfgang Puck Express @ DTD, Grand Floridan Cafe and Sanaa @ AKL.

If you want a fun evening, touring the Art of Animation and then eating at AoA or Pop Century food courts would be fun. The theming at AoA is wonderful!

Thanks for all of the suggestions! Keep 'em coming:yay:

We've done Raglan Road a few times with friends and did love it, but I am hesitant because we've always had to wait to sit for dinner.

I should have mentioned that we'll have my two kids (10 & 13) with us in addition to my in-laws. Mostly I'm looking for good food and atmosphere with opportunities for something to do before/after dinner.

I thought about this.... We've never done it and have heard lots of good things. It's pricey though, so I'm not sure if it would make sense for us.

What about Narcoosee's? You could easily incorporate a Wishes viewing with that. The GF is a beautifully themed resort, and you'll have fun exploring while you're there.
