We are a party of 6 consisting of 3 adults and 3 kids traveling to Vancouver and then cruising down to San Diego in Sept. It'll be our first time in Vancouver and we're looking for hotels that are set up with suite style rooms to stay in. Our thinking is if we can find a hotel that can accommodate us through a suite, this may save us some money instead of having to get two rooms.

For those of you that have stayed in a suite style hotel, I'd like to hear your recommendation and feedback. So far, I found one called the Times Square Suites Hotel and although it's not close to the "main" area, it seems like a very nice hotel and has been rated 4.5 stars on tripadvisor. Another hotel I found is called Delta Vancouver Suites. This is also rated as 4.5 stars.

Anybody stay at the Hotel Le Soleil or Rosewood Hotel Georgia? These were also rated very highly.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We stayed at the Delta Suites a few years ago. I cannot recall if our suite would have slept 6, but it had a King bed in the bedroom, and a nice "other room" including a big couch, and reasonable floor space - which I remember because we put our 2 year old on an inflatable kid mattress on the floor (we brought it- he was too big for a Pack n Play, and he rolled out of regular beds at that point).

It was a easy walk to my conference, which was basically down by where Port is. Staff were very nice and helpful . There is a reasonable on-site restaurant (relevant when traveling with a 2 year old and 3 hour time change!).

It is a chain hotel, so not much "personality", but we were just looking for a solid base for a few nights, and the suite really helped us get the sleep we needed to adjust to the time change.

I looked into those suggestions and other hotels and either they're way too expensive or they can accommodate 6 people. Looking further into the Times Square Suites Hotel seems like a good hotel that fits our needs. It looks like a nice place that isn't too expensive but it is out of the main area. Can anybody who maybe lives in the area give some feedback on getting around from this hotel? Is it an easy walk or is it better to get transportation? Does it have easy access to public transportation to the sights and tourist spots?

What dates do you need and how much is it for the Times Square Suites Hotel?

Buses run fairly regularly in Downtown Vancouver. I don't know the prices as I haven't used a bus in a long time. Here is their website to check out http://www.translink.ca/en/Schedules-and-Maps.aspx

I guessed your dates as Sept.25-27th and the first one I posted (Landis) gives a price of $228.78 per night, if you are staying 3 nights it's a bit cheaper than that. That's for the Deluxe Queen with 2 bedrooms (King and a queen) and a sofa bed in the living room. They also serve a complementary continental breakfast. Free shuttle (Cruise Terminal, Science World, Stanley Park, Aquarium, etc.)

If you only need it for one night, this will not work for you, but we did a SAN to YVR repo cruise a few years ago and then did a VRBO and it slept 6 and had views of the bay. We were able to walk to the AquaBus to Granville Island and it was near the tube to the port and also the airport. We loved having a kitchen and washer and dryer in our room. It was also about $600 cheaper over 4 nights than getting a hotel room.

Sorry wanted to post on a different thread.
