If I have a dining package for the 6:45pm show, what time do I need to get in line? I know I have reserved seating area, but wasn't sure how that works.

Thanks

I recommend 45 minutes early but I have not been in 2 years and I am curious too.

I'm curious as well. It will be our first time and we've got the late show.

If you have a dining plan can you use it towards this package?

Yes.

Either one or two "credits," depending on which Dining Plan you have.

This entirely depends on the popularity of the narrator and the day you go. Holidays and weekends will be more crowded and people will line up sooner.

Also, where you would like to sit is a factor, too. If you want front and center you need to be earlier.

Do you have a big group or a small group going to CP? The larger the group the more time you should allow.

For excellent seats for two we have lined up 75 minutes early. For okay seats 45 minutes is fine.

When you enter can you choose any available seat or do you fill in the seats in a line in the order you enter?

This is what I was thinking, also. Last year, I went solo & had the CP package for the 8:15 show with Neil Patrick Harris. It was a weekday (I wanna say Tues. or Wed.) & I went to the line a little over one hour before the show began. I ended up with a pretty good seat, at the far end of the row where guests with ECV's & wheelchairs could be seated in the middle of the theater, off to the right. I'm not positive that's what the row is used specifically for b/c I wasn't paying attention to that but I assumed it might because it is so wide. I had no complaints since I had much more leg room than the other rows & was not too far back from the stage.

Anyway, I am not sure what other celebrities require getting in line around one hour or more for good (not great) seating but I'd imagine people such as Whoopi Goldberg & Anthony Mackie might be similar. Correct me if I'm wrong to those who have more experience, please.

Wheelchairs and scooters and their family enter first who have a package.

After that the regular package line enters. It's really a free for all once you get in. Most people shoot for the center and front. It's hard to save a multiple of seats; so, make sure your group all go in the same direction together.

I feel the first six rows are too close. You're on top of the stage. I find the 10th row to be ideal.

I would say either 45-60 minutes before to be safe. If you are in line before it gets to Japan you will easily have a seat under the awnings. We usually get in line at the beginning of Japan where there are still the seats along the railing. Like others have said, it also depends who is the narrator. I would go more by where the line is. As long as you're still in Japan, then you should be fine.

We have a party of 13, can a few of us hold spots in line for the others or is this frowned upon? We have an 18 month old in line so I imagine someone will be out with her somewhere.

If it's similar to the lines for ETTB, then it's frowned upon.

There were a few people holding spots for a large group in front of us and when the rest of their party tried to cut in under the rope, a CM made them go to the end of the line.

Most would have no problem with one of the grown ups stepping out with the baby if needed (or taking a little one to the bathroom, etc.) They other 11 of you should just wait in line.

ok thanks

Im planning on getting in line 45 minutes early. I have a 6:45pm showing on the 27th with Steven Curtis Chapman. I hioe this is early enough to secure good seating

Do you really think Anthony Mackie will be popular? Honestly, I had no idea who he was and now i'm nervous I'll have to get a seat more than the 45-60 minutes ahead of time than I was planning. I have a CP package for the 5pm show...

I'll echo what everyone else has said, that it depends on your narrator and where you would like to sit. We saw Neil Patrick Harris two years ago the weekend after Thanksgiving. We got in line 30 minutes before the show began, assuming that would be enough time since we thought the seats were guaranteed. We ended up being some of the last people in the theater, and there were a group of about 10 of us still looking for seats when the choirs were starting to walk in - the Cast Members were frantically trying to find us somewhere to sit. In the end we had to split up; DH took DS to sit near the front, but DS had to sit on DH's lap. I ended up with about six inches worth of space on the end of a row, and I ended up leaving because I was so uncomfortable. So with a popular narrator, during a popular time, 30 minutes is definitely not early enough!
