Let it Snope Let it Snope Let it Snope! A Very Merry crowded Christmas! Nov Report updated and over

Love those kids, so funny!!

you have no idea how happy i am to hear this. I was going to knock Matt out with his tackling me! I was worried you wouldn't enjoy them!!!

Beautiful that's for sure!

It really was!

I loved watching all the videos. Last year when I was home for my Grandma's funeral, it was the first time that all of the cousin's had been together in a very long time. My cousin Morgan pulled out some old home movies from our vacations and played them. Despite the sad occasion, we were all ROFL and how goofy we were back then. I'm sure your kids will enjoy watching these videos years from now.

Isn't this the best?!?! Just love watching old videos!!!

Loved the update. That is one reason I do not like road trips. I am always worried I will end up on some toll road without money. Since I am the only driver for now, and blind at night, we always take 2 days of driving for Disneyland (16 hour drive). Our last trip was 4 days of driving and 3 days of Disney. Next time, I would add one more day of Disney.

Oh yes! you must have more Disney then driving!!! must. i don't even want to think how long it would take us to drive to Cali.

Whew...glad it was not just me and the pictures...

I still have to go back and fix them.

I was worried there for a moment that you all had to pull over JUST for deodorant...thought how the heck can a kid get that smelly on a car ride!!! (I was of course assuming he did not start the ride that way otherwise you would have left him home!)

Right? Crazy kid...
NO we all showered BEFORE getting in a car.. Yet a drive with 2 boys and greasy foods does get smelly.... just sayin..

Will you get there already???!!!

I KNOW! It's a LONG drive! page 4 and we still aren't there! LOL.

See I am harassing you since I suspect you are doing the same on my report since it popped up on page one again. I know, I know...need to finish up...I have the last day written, just need to tweak it and add pictures...but it will not happen this week...two parties and lots of work (mortgage and retail jobs both this week are a PITA)

I am... at least i am writing mine! Whatever. i work too and practices and and and.. EXCUSES!

Girly, at least you have cows standing on a tanker truck, wind mills and a fork in the road to look at while driving, we don't see any of that good stuff. :teeth: What? You didn't get any OJ? For real? Wanna know a secret? We've stopped there several times and haven't even visited the center, just the potty.

HA HA! that's all in Indiana. crazy state that it is. quite possible it could be hell. There is a sign after all.
That drive is SO SO BORING!!! thank goodness for MUSIC!
Nope.. No OJ i was SO SO BUMMED! Well my friend your next trip promise me you will go in!!! there is no better start to a vacation than to get your OJ on!

I think once you hit the state of Florida you should be there. The four hours of additional driving is ridiculous. ;)

I cannot agree more!!!

Yippee for arriving in Florida! You make that road trip look easy. Your kids are troopers. I love the picture in front of the welcome sign! It's so exciting!

HA! It is an easy drive it's just so dang BORING! Yes! once you hit that sign it's like YAY WE ARE HERE!
then you just keep driving again. it seems longer since you just want to GET THERE ALREADY!

Haha, loving the road trip photos. Sometimes you have to make your own fun. Whenever we drive anywhere, I am always the driver while DH is the navigator (he gets road hypnosis really bad). Unfortunately he also falls asleep an hour into every road trip. Thank goodness for good music.

I'm dying at your Jay & Silent Bob reference.

View attachment 139029

LOVE silent bob and Jay!!! LOVE!
Oh No. i don't think i could do that whole drive by myself. it would take days!!! I would need to stop several times and sleep a lot! Yes yes! Music is key!

How did I miss three updates??? Okay, so if we now know Hell is real, then the "Jesus" sunshine coming through the clouds and the absolutely gorgeous sunset and sunrise prove that Heaven is real, too..so there!

I dunno?!?!
I fully agree! we needed some LIGHT in that dark Indiana! Yes. all the beautiful sights we have just SHOWS Heaven is there and in full swing!

Loved all the silly kiddie videos. Ya'll are a HOOT!

they are nutty..

Oh Waffle House...we shall not have this discussion again. ;-)

Nope.. we won't...

One of these days we need to meet up when you come through Nash-Vegas!

your not kidding. I really want to meet up with you. Honestly this trip i thought we would be in better time? I was going to text you and ask if you wanted to do breakfast.. Again it was in the crazy hours!!!

Just joining in. Can't wait to hear more.

Hi! :welcome:
So glad you have you aboard! Hope you enjoy our crazy antics!!!

Oh, another comment I forgot...You look absolutely fantastic!!! Did you lose a ton of weight before the trip???

YAY!!!!!!!

FINALLY FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately it was NOT our time to check in. We were on our way to Kathy, Haley and Larry's!!!!

Time to grab our over night bags:

No really!! We had one over night bag so not to over take their home!
we were met with nothing better then:
n-ORANGE-JUICE-large570.jpg

In Disney cups and Disney straws!!!! This girl holds my heart!!! yum yum yum!
the kids checked out the really awesome Florida house.

The dogs were more then welcoming

The plan today was SHOPPING DAY! We headed right over to Disney Springs

Kathy asked do i feel Disney yet.
the answer was .... No... Disney springs has changed so so much! we entered on the Circus of terror side, all the shops are ADORABLE son't get me wrong, the feel was like any other outside mall.

We walked all the way down, stopping at the Lego store where Zack did get a city set a car hauling a boat.
Hit World of Disney! I do ADORE this store we wandered and wandered about.. I don't think we bought much. knowing we would be back!
taking some pictures around

Then we needed this:

it was MUCH needed after that LOOOOOOOOONG 24 hours!!! This is when i forgot my lighter in the car.. wacko.
Haley asks WHAT ARE YOU DOING? I told her shhh.. I am stalking her --->>>
as i am pointing at some innocent bystander.... Then BAM i stuck! Can I please borrow your lighter???
YAY! a drink and a smoke! SO happy!

We were getting very tired, it was time to head back. Kathy and Haley would head back to the house and i wanted to go ans say HELLO to Suzi, Bradey, and D! I was IN Disney as well as my bestest dis friends!!! as luck would have it they were at AKL! Yay i get to see them along with checking out the resort! SCORE! I knew they had their trip ahead of them and i wanted to steal a little time with them!!!

So boarded our trusty vessel of a truck and off we went.

Let me tell you what a BEAUTIFUL resort! Their happy little tribe met us outside the lobby hugs and squishes were plenty I MISSED THESE GUYS!!!
They escorted us in. my eyes were HUGE i couldn't stop looking around!
I will link D's report here as she has the pictures to prove we were together:

D~ report! we were there!!!

I ran across that bridge like a lunatic! I had a blast! we went up to their room which again was AMAZING! I would love to stay there one time! They have a chair in the room that just felt like a pillow that hugged you. I never wanted to move. The balcony looked out over a pool which again.. Heaven.

If i didn't move at that point i would have just slept right there. So off we went. Putting in the address of Kathy's house off we went again.
it took us back onto the toll. Guess who didn't have $$ again? I wasn't happy. We turned around tried to find a bank.... nothing.... tried to find ANYTHING.. Nothing. Finally i am beyond aggravated GO TO A GAS STATION.
OK found a gas station ---- Cash in hand we went back to the toll...

Which didn't give change.

We took the little piece of paper promising we will pay later. (which i had to mail in .40)
back at Kathy's we had an amazing dinner enjoyed the beautiful weather, better company, Kids swam their hearts out until i could no longer keep my eye's open.

Tom, Meg and I took one room with a blow up mattress. As i was laying there sweet slumber was about to take over Tom just is looking down at me with the most confused look.
Then he took a step on it. I almost catapulted onto the bed with Meghan.
We could. NOT. STOP. LAUGHING. Every time he would TRY to lay on the mattress I would be lifted and almost thrown.. OMG it was so funny! Larry came in to check in on us and also started laughing!!! Enough of this just get in i need to sleep we had to wake up early the next morning and get on with our Disney VACATION!!!

We are in Colorado, which would mean a very long 2 day drive each way.

Oh boy.. Yes it would... No way.. this drive is LONG enough you would have to deal with a lot more BORING states then i would!!!

Oh, another comment I forgot...You look absolutely fantastic!!! Did you lose a ton of weight before the trip???

Ha! Thanks!!! Yes, I no longer eat carbs and dropped over 60 pounds!!! Thank you!!!

I haven't been to Disney Springs since they started construction. I don't think we will be going next week when we are there either.
I need to look up when construction will be all done.

Can't wait for you guys to hit the parks! :sunny:

That is the BEST Disney gate photo I have ever seen, for real! Perfection!!!! OH, you are HOME!!!!

I am sad to hear the Disney Springs does not feel Disney any more! :-( When we were there last year, they were still working on the parking garage. I don't remember much of anything else being drastically different. But, we only stayed at the "fun" end with Lego, Once Upon a Toy, World of Disney, etc.

OMGoodness, your air mattres story has me cracking up. I can so imagine it. You all had to have been so slap happy by that point!

Great start to Disney. We drive from New York once.
Drive down was great. I was hyper and pretty much drove all night while DH slept.
Drive home was a pain.

Yay! You made it! As many times as I've seen pictures of the welcome sign it still gets me.

Man I wanted to join you guys that night at AKL but alas I had an ADR to get too.

HeeHee, I can just imagine the air mattress fiasco! They can be pretty bouncy. :tigger:

Your air mattress situation sounds oh, so familiar! Happens every time DH and I have to use ours. We have one of the double thick ones so one of us (usually DH because I always have to get up in the middle of the night) ends up on the floor or in the center crater of the air mattress.

I can't wait to see all the changes to Disney Springs. We didn't realize it until after we got home from our last trip but we only saw about half of DTD. We're planning on spending a whole day there this time.

Your house is adorable, anytime you want to post random pictures of things in Northern Illinois feel free. I get homesick for Illinois sometimes.

I have driven the route from GA to IL and IL to GA way too many times, the truck with the cows and the truck with the fork must be new. We didn't see those back in June on our last visit to Illinois.

I do recall the Hell is Real sign, and we love all the windmills.

The mountains in Kentucky and Tennessee are much better scenery than the cornfields in Indiana and Illinois. In the winter I like to look for big icicles hanging off the mountains.

I have never heard of Dasher, GA where is that? We stop in Valdosta alot. There is a chikfila there and a cracker barrel.

My husband (a Georgia Native) loves Waffle House. I refuse to eat there.:rolleyes1

YAY your here!!! I thought about you A LOT on this ride.. Laughing.. So i took more pictures of the drive because of it!

Yay! It's fun. Or not. That we get to take the same drive. :).

Stop it. You HAVE to stop for the juice. It's the best!

Glad you finally made it! Do your friends live in Celebration? You looked like you drove under the arch before you saw them. I'm glad you made it under the arch! Unlike us and stupid LInda taking us the back way. I can't wait for more!

Yay you made it! And you got to see Suzi and D! And Dis shop! And AKL!

I am still laughing; I don't know if the toll road story is better (been there, done that, but even worse was at the gate looking in ever nook and cranny of the car trying to find change), or the air mattress (they are evil, they eat people).

I agree with oopsi - you look amazing Mo!

Can't wait to see your next shenanigans!

We always leave change in the car's ash tray for the toll booths. It also comes in handy for parking meters. That must have been a bother to try to hunt for change.

Teaching and retail have been sucking up all my time...and energy....and let's face it, my WHOLE life the past two weeks!!!!! I happily read up on the chapters I've missed yesterday :)

I took notes so I wouldn't forget what I wanted to comment on:

*I absolutely love Tom's picture on his Magic Band. It's such a perfect likeness :teeth:
*Those windmill farms are pretty awesome, but also a little creepy, I do agree! We've seen them on our way to Purdue, which is WAY less exciting that road tripping to Disney World. We have always flown, but your car antics make me think I might be missing out on something by not driving (at least once!) :earboy2:
*Lookout Mountain, TN is actually a pretty awesome place! When I was in high school, our family did a pretty fun road trip to Chattanooga, TN, South Carolina and Georgia. We rode the world's longest incline railroad (the shortest one, too--it's in Dubuque, IA where I went to college) and went to a bunch of hokey attractions. We had SO much fun--LOTS of ridiculous antics on that trip for sure.
*I love when The Car Goes Wild!!!!!!! :sulley::tigger::dumbo::goofy:

Yippee! You arrived. Sounds like a perfect low key first day after a loooong drive.

Jumping in to follow. We live in Southern Ontario outside of Toronto. Whenever we head to Disney we drive straight through the night too. We usually leave around 6PM and get down to WDW between 3 and 5PM the next day. We love the long drive. We love seeing the change from snow to no snow as we almost always go in the winter. We know we keep getting closer as we see less snow and more grass. We are driving to Miami for a cruise in February. Not a Disney cruise, you can boo me now. We are attempting to figure which resort to stay at for one night on our way back home, CSR or CBR.
