LAX to DL on Friday 9/4/2015?

Does anyone know how long it would take to get to DL on Friday the 9/4/2015?

We fly into LAX at 6:35, assume we will be on the freeway around 8:00am (HOPING).

I am assuming, 1-2hrs?

We were going to go straight and park and check into our hotel after we were done with the park.

Not sure if anyone knows how long it might take on a friday?

You're going against traffic, so it shouldn't be that bad in the morning. I used to drive LA-OC almost every day and it's way better going that direction than the other. You're probably looking at a 45 minutes. There will still be traffic, but not a ton.

It is the Friday of Labor Day weekend, so there will be some southbound traffic, regular rush hour around interchanges. If your hotel is on Harbor, stop there first. With the 5K wrapping up between 7am - 7:30 and the people moving from the reunion area to the parking lot, DTD and parks it will be easier to go through the east esplanade. There will still be lots of people because of the shuttles and Harbor hotels, but they spread out more than the immediate area around DLH.
