Two weeks from now, we'll be on an airplane on our way to Disney!!

Ok, here are a few random questions.

    1. We are staying at Kidani Village. If I cook breakfast, do I have to clean everything up or does mousekeeping do the dishes?

    2. Do they have things like a waffle maker? What about basic cooking items (spatulas, etc.)

    3. How accurate is the crowd calendar? Two days show 8's for us which makes me a little nervous. MLK day, I'm not surprised, but there is a random day, a Saturday I think that is also an 8. How long should I expect to wait in lines?

As far as clean up: I believe that is yours to do.

There is no waffle iron, but you will find some basic utinsels for cooking in the room.

Studios do not have waffle makers but they do have toaster ovens. I can't speak to the larger sized rooms (but I would be surprised if they had waffle irons too).
Your mousekeeping also depends on if you're staying as a DVC guest or if you're paying cash for your room, or if you pay extra for daily mousekeeping. In any instance though, I don't think I have ever had mousekeeping do my dishes.

We are paying cash. Does this mean they won't be coming in everyday to do beds, etc? Sorry, I'm new to all of this!:rotfl:

If you're paying cash they will come daily...I'm not sure if they do dishes though.

I think you have to load them into the dishwasher and they will run it. Why not run it yourself though, right?

What size room do you have?

I don't remember any toaster ovens in any of the resorts that I stayed at (SSR x2, AKL x1). They do have microwaves in each room. Only the 1 bedroom suites and larger have a full size kitchen with a dishwasher. The studios only have a kitchenette. That is a small fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Nothing fancy.

We are staying in a two-bedroom. Sounds like we'll have to go with frozen waffles, but we'll live. :goodvibes

What about dishwashing soap and dishwasher detergent? Is that provided or should I bring my own?

You will have both dishwashing soap and dish detergent in your unit. There should also be some paper towels, dish towels, and a package of Tide (if you're in a two bedroom you will have a washer/dryer in there as well). Have a great time!! :)

We paid cash at SSR last year and had wonderful mousekeeping. No towel animals, but we tipped daily ($5 a day, there were five adults, two toddlers in a 2BR) and the mousekeepers would run our dishwasher and always left extra soaps, detergents, coffee. The women we encountered were very sweet and helpful.

I did bring a few sample sized laundry detergents (powder Tide is what they leave for you), a few dishwashing tabs, and dryer sheets -- no dryer sheets are included. I also brought coffee filters (the basket kind).

I also did a garden grocer order mainly for breakfasts. I think frozen waffles were available. Save room for the Mickey waffles!

    Have a wonderful trip.
