We want to try this on our next trip since my youngest DS LOVES ice cream. My question is what is the best time of day to try this? And can you go there and just order that or do you have to order food too? I just thought this would've something fun and different for us to try!!! Any opinions or advice???

No requirement to order food or anything else with it.

The best time would probably be outside of peak mealtimes, as Beaches & Cream is the smallest TS restaurant at WDW and does not take reservations. At peak mealtimes there could be long waits for a table since there are very few tables.

We've done it between lunch and dinner, so get there around the 2:00 - 3:00 range. (And then just have a "snack" for dinner. It usually sticks with you for a little while.) Of course, it depends on how many people are sharing it. 6 or more people, you can still have a normal dinner. haha.

We just got back the other day and 4 girls at the next table ordered it.

We didnt know what was happening since they turned the lights out and had these yellow flashing lights on instead. Then out they brought the Kitchen Sink with a flourishing announcement.

This was at 11:45 and by 12 there were no tables left in the place. So I would use it maybe as a sub for an early lunch or as another poster said, after lunch. After that you would probably just want a snack for dinner.

We had fun watching them. They gave them little bowls too if they wanted to scoop it out. It did look messy once they started digging in etc.

    Hope you enjoy it!
