Kids sail free?

As someone who has never taken a cruise but is considering it, we could only swing it when kids sail free. The early 2013 dates won't work for us, but I was wondering if historically there are times/places where the deal has been offered as a way of potentially planning for the future. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Would the last minute *GT rates not work?
They probably won't for us.

Found this old discussion on KSF. I feel it still applies.

I was surprised as many KSF deals were offered this year.
I felt DCL was moving more to the *GT rates, and I still do.
I suppose they have IMHO.
Perhaps they have learned a KSF fills a ship faster.

ETA; Have you seen this thread? *GT dates / other discounts

I wouldn't be surprised if they offer KSF for cruises out of Galveston in Fall 2013. Most of the time, KSF is offered when school is in session.

There is really no way of knowing/planning. They discount for ships that aren't filling, so that means when kids are in school and no holidays.
