Kermit & Miss Piggy take on 10 Days of Delicious Disney Dining! Updated 7/15 IM BACK!

Oh my goodness! Im so sorry Ive been off the grid! I have no internet access but now I am BACK! Maybe Ill still have some readers somewhere???? Oh well I must complete this report for my own OCD anyway so I hope you all will forgive me for being so behind :guilty:

Hey there! I've been a bit DIS-absent, but I'm back and all caught up. Thanks for the great reviews! Those cupcakes all look amazing. The wait at La Hacienda, however, sounded pretty bad :(

You know, we do a LOT of character meals. And they make that plan very cost-effective. So between those and signature dining, we really only have two meals a day booked (with the exception of one or two days), so I'm hopeful that it won't be a painful amount of food. It is a nice compromise for us - character meals for DD and signature meals for me. I think it will be a lot of fun! :cool1:

Thanks for coming back and reading! I must say the character meals are some of my favorites so I bet you will get your $'s worth with those! Ive always wanted to try Jiko and Artist Point....hmmmm maybe deluxe dining IS in my future :rotfl2:

Ok well Im glad to be back after a long hiatus and I have been going through serious Disney food porn withdrawl!!!! Well let's get back to the GOODS

Well thats start off with something I really wanted to try, the Mickey Pretzel and CHEESE sauce of course! These were purchased in Tomorrowland and totally hit the spot.

The cheese sauce said it was Nacho but it was very mild. I was thinking it wouldnt be as delicious as the other cheese sauces, but it was still good.
The pretzel was still warm and fresh and the inside was nice and soft and the crust was chewy YUM.

I think everyone out there knows what THIS is!

One of my favorite treats, the famous Dole Whip! I chose the vanilla/pineapple swirl this time and really enjoyed it. The vanilla gave it a nice smoothness. I see people with the floats all the time, but I think the pineapple juice would just be too much for me. They gave me a HUGE one (which was not too much for me :lmao:) since I was wearing my birthday button :thumbsup2 It was so tangy and refreshing, I had to basically hide it from Robin though. One taste and he was launching himself out of the stroller to get more! Like mother like son....:rotfl2: I was planning on trying the one with Rum in it over at Epcot, but all the reviews left me feeling like it just wasn't worth it.

Next up, the iced coffee from Contemporary Grounds. These were actually really good (no Dunkin Donuts, but STILL pretty good) but they were TINY. I need my giant iced coffee in the morning, so of course I ordered two :thumbsup2

And you can't come to WDW without a Mickey Premium!!!

Kermit started with the ears of course. Man that chocolate is rich and the ice cream oh so smooth. SO GOOD. I distinctly remember as a kid being able to get Mickey shaped ice cream bars at the grocery store. Anyone else remember that???? I dont think they were of the same quality, but still would be awesome to get a little slice of WDW at home. Ya know besides my vinylmation, disney planning DVDs, disney kitchen equipment, Disney books, and of course the DIS! :lmao:

Lastly, I picked up a Little Mermaid cookie at the confectionary on my way out of MK our last night. I waited until we were driving home from the airport to enjoy my treat as a last little taste of WDW!

It was just ok. The cookie was cinnamon and the icing crunchy. The thing that weirded me out was the date to eat by was like a year away! Made me think of all the preservatives in it.....

Up next some Breakfast at Contempo Cafe. And the big question, is it ok to get a Cupcake for breakfast????

Yes, a cupcake is a perfectly acceptable breakfast. That is all. ;)

Reading about your snacks makes me crave some Mickey treats! I'm so glad that I'm going next weekend! Cupcakes for breakfast are just fine on vacation. Me who just got back from a weekend trip, need my V8 and cornflakes no sugar. :sad2:

that flatbread does look delicious... i am a goat cheese FIEND so i would love to try that!!! i also like the looks of the hacienda grill platter. i have never really thought about doing a meal at la hacienda, but that has changed my mind for sure.

Just joined in, I'm going to Disney in 54 days and this is helping me eat healthy until then. I have SO much to look forward to! I love your sense of humor and your cute kids!!

You're back!

We got some of those character cookies once when my kids were very young and they are pretty but taste horrible.
