Maybe my little story will inspire somebody. I started walking last June, after I turned 50 and after I'd read about the Princess half marathon. It was my hope that I'd be able to walk/run it by Feb. 2013. Well, that didn't happen, but I DID run a 5k, and have since run 2 more, and I hope to do a half by the end of this year. In the meantime, over the last year, I've walked and run 425 miles! I would never have imagined I could do that, and I'm looking forward to increasing that number over the next year.
Hang in there, keep chugging along, and you too will surprise yourself with what you accomplish!
Wed 5/29 - 15 min PT
Thu 5/30 - 45 min run/walk
Fri 5/31 - 30 min strength train/PT & 30 min walk
Ready to blast through my goal in June!
Bike 60;treadmill 30;elliptical 45; subtotal 135
An hour Strong class and an hour on the treadmill bring me to:
Just squeaking by this month....and 5 DAYS TIL DISNEY
YAYAYAY!!! Excited to make my goal!! Totaled 70 minutes today, DVD and walking.

Updated through post 447. WTG Everyone! Really fabulous month. I will update again on Monday because at least I, for one, am not finished with my month yet - I still have tonight! And I know we are all waiting to see if glss1/2fll will find 9 more minutes to reach 100% of goal.

30 min run tonight
But my 5 month dachshund pup gets the real big gold star. Tonight she ran the full 30 min run with me. Ok, I had to encourage her a little not to stop @ 28 minutes, but this was a long run for her. Now she's enjoying a well deserved nap.
