Whew! Thanks so much! I know it's not as fancy a show as the newer ships, but it's still a highlight IMO and one I desperately want my kids and wife to see.
Quick question....What cruise day is the Animators Palate on?
Ship passengers rotate between three main dining rooms. One third of the passengers eat in each dining room at a time. Actually, there's main seating and late seating, so one sixth of the passengers are scheduled for each dining room at a time.
So you get Animator's Palate twice, and the show will be the second time you eat there. You'll get your exact schedule when you board -- it will be printed like a weird code on your Key to the World card.
On a 7-day cruise you'll be assigned to one of the main dining rooms three times. That's where you'll have pirate's night dinner, so it doesn't affect the light show in AP or give anyone an advantage or disadvantage over any other rotation.
Your rotation schedule determines when you'll have a character breakfast.
I hope this isn't as clear as mud.
It depends on your specific dining rotation.
Sorry was Wednesday for me
Depending on which rotation you get it will be either Sunday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Those are the nights that Show dinner is in AP.
I prefer the general atmosphere the best in AP so I requested it for 3 nights. The tropical one felt a bit too tacky and overwhelming and the other one was too boring. The others on the newer ships are gorgeous though. Still would request AP but would consider the fancier, royal themed one also.
