We just returned from 5 days at BCV and 5 days at BWV and had a great time. (This was our 19th visit). The DVC staff was great. While the rooms were not perfect (blocked drain in the shower, two TV remotes did not work, dirty sheets in master bedroom, very dirty blankets in 2nd bedroom, missing pans and utensils, and a few other minor complaints) all problems were corrected immediately by a call to house keeping. The rooms at BWV are beginning to have a tired feeling. All the same, it was a great vacation and the hotel staff was very responsive to our calls. Since everything was corrected within an hour of calling house keeping, we really have no complaints. We noticed that there were times when the parks were less crowded than we have ever before seen. We were told that BCV and BWV were fully booked; however, Disney World did not seem to be as busy as we remember during past President's Day weeks. We heard that Disney has instituted a hiring freeze. Our taxi driver told us that the Orlando had approximately 60 million visitors in years 2000 and 2001, but only about 15 million visitors in year 2002. This seemed like an exaggeration, but it certainly was not as busy as we had expected. In any event, it is still the best vacation for our family. I scored 2nd place in "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," only to be beaten in that round by my daughter! In the hot-seat, she won the hat and pins, but lost on a question about Henry Cisneros, former Secretary of Housing And Urban Development. And so, we did not win the million point cruise vacation. But we had a great time.
