The only one I'm going to book is BOG. If you remember, this is going to be a more Universal/IOA vacation with some Sea World too :) That being the case, we'll probably only be at WDW for a day. I really want to try that restaurant!!!
Although if everything works out with DH's new job (we'll know by Jan.13), we'll be at the World a lot more than just one day Woohoo!!!! :)
So If DH doesn't take the job we'll be there 7/1-7/11. But if he takes the job we'll be there a few weeks so I wouldn't be worried about ADRs as much I'll just go with the flow- we'll be so much more flexible. And we'll get APs!!!! :)

Oh I forgot you were mostly doing Universal this time. :upsidedow

I didn't even try to book BOG this time, but I am thinking I might next time...

I hope it all works out with your DH's job. :wizard: AP's will be awesome!! :goodvibes

Hello, Miss MIA here :rotfl: Just read your review of GF and so sorry it was not the best ever. I am glad now tht we did not change last minute since we also love the Boardwalk. My concerns were the ones you mentioned, the pool closing and Gasperillas being closed plus the new splash area. Someone also mentioned to me that the lobby was overly busy with visitors this time of year.

Thanks for posting the review Shelly!

    Hey Sheila!! :yay:

Glad you enjoyed the review! Yeah the GF isn't my favorite, but it was nice. Wish it wouldn't have been such a mess though!

I think we will head to the BWI next time.

    Hi there.

There are no rooms in the GCH (Great Ceremonial House), which is the main building at the Poly. All the rooms are in outbuildings called longhouses. Several of the buildings have great locations. So you could book garden view, lagoon view, or theme park view - depending on what you want, and then add the request of the building you want. But it's not guaranteed you will get it. The only way to get a guaranteed building is to book Club Level and you will get Hawaii. Hope that helps. :)

Hi there! Thanks. Sorry I've been missing. We had a death in the family last week. So we are slowly picking up the pieces and trying to get things back to normal around here. Well, a new normal I guess.

I am hoping to start a TR very soon. Hang in there! :)

    Hi Shelly!
I love your reviews and pictures! Sorry you were disappointed in GF. We need to stay there sometime. Also I love the pics of my favorite resort, Polynesian! Too funny you got the same room we had a couple years ago in Samoa. We love that room because it's on the end and has a nice view! :goodvibes

    Thank you Monica.

Thanks. It's been a rough go of things since about Christmas day.

Hi Nichole! Long time no "see"!

That is an awesome room in Samoa. DH wants to ask for it next time we stay there! ::yes::

It seems I hardly get on DIS much anymore.:guilty: Even when I plan trips. But I do read trip reports still of course. I can't wait to read your's. Yes we loved that room. From your pics though... it seems that tree grew so tall!! We had a nice clear view of the pool and marina. To the right we could partially see the castle. Also stayed in Tokelau with a balcony and loved that too.

I had requested top floor in either Samoa or Tokelau. I'm sure both are great!:)

I finally finished this tread and your review of the Poly. So sorry to hear you had a death in the family.

So I said to Bob what would it take to get you to stay at the Poly next trip, if you remember He did not ever want to stay there. So he says just ask :faint:

I been thinking of going late Oct or Early Nov for F & W but may instead aim for early March 2014 now depending on what discounts are offered.

Heading over to your TR now!

I agree about the buses. I can't understand how the GF is always the last stop.
Whether it is to be dropped off or what I think is the worst, get picked up. We usually stay at the Poly and would always get a seat. Then the bus would drive over to the GF and there were times when not everyone would fit on the bus and they would have to wait for the next one.

They combine CR, Poly & GF in that order because the direction of the roads.

I really think for what Disney charges for the rooms, the GF should have it's own bus.
    Especially during peak times.

We did a split CL stays with both resorts and like the Polynesian better.
One night my DD then 12 went to GF lounge at 8:30 p.m. and asked for a soda. The worker said no! My DH was floored and "asked" her again.

One thing I will say about the GF club, the beds were the mostcomfortable we've ever slept in!

    Thanks Sheila.

That is so great that your DH wants to stay at the Poly finally!! I know you will love it. ::yes::

Hope you get a great discount soon! :wizard:

The buses are ridiculous. I'll never understand the logic there either. :confused3

Exactly - for what they are charging for those resorts bus sharing shouldn't even be an issue. :sad2:

We just love the Poly. :lovestruc

That is weird that they wouldn't give her a drink. :faint:

Yeah, I thought the beds in both resorts were great. :cloud9:
