Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

Like you said julie down is down, so congratulations :)
Keep positive, your doing great :)

Thanks, Tracey, Down is Down, but sometimes it doesn't seem it!

My entire food today was consumed after WW - baked tostitos scoops with 1/2 ff and 1/2 reg cheese and salsa - 15 pts, but worth it. Then I had a Mrs. Freshleys Snack away cupcake 2 pts. I really have some points left, but I'm not hungry so likely won't use them.

I'm getting REALLY tired of cooking every night, but since DH has to be low sodium it makes going out to eat very very hard. Restaurant food is loaded with sodium, especially the low fat stuff as they add it to give it some flavor. I'm sure it will save $$ in the long run and be better for all of us, but dag-nab-it, I'm REALLY craving Chinese food and I don't dare even bring it home to tempt him. And don't even get me started on Taco Bell - thus my pitiful plain nachos!

DD is overloaded with homework again and is running on about 3.5 hours sleep, so life is NOT fun here at the moment.

We are supposed to get hit with yet another snowstorm starting late tonight thru Sun or Mon. This is ridiculous!!

I'm really toying with the idea of doing the Minnie in May. DD would like to as well, but flights from here don't make it too convenient. We'd have to get in at like 11:30 p.m. Thursday night and leave very early afternoon on Sunday. I'm thinking maybe the DLand 1/2 would be a better choice, but I'm not sure of the extra distance for DD and the hills. I'm not sure she would train well. Plus, Minnie is 15/min mile and Dland is 16(I think -can't find the info). And she would get VERY angry if I left her in the dust and I would be LIVID if I went all that way and got swept! Decisions, decisions, decisions......

I'm ordering a Garmin 305 from Target - took back the 301. It is on sale for $299 and DH had paid $230+ for the 301.

Off to let DD have the computer for more homework..... I hope this ends soon! She is supposed to go to a sleepover/birthday party tomorrow night, but I'm not sure she will be able to make it given how tired she is.

 Julie,

A snowstorm, tons of homework, and no Taco Bell sounds like no fun at all! :(
Things will get better sweetie... Keep on keeping on!:cheer2:

What is with the homework that teachers are giving out these days? When I taught, we could give no homework on Wednesdays and minimal homework on Fridays. The rest of the week, I planned a 30 minute quiet study hall at the end of the day so my students could do their work..... Sending some homework :wizard: for your DD!

Good luck on your Minnie or Disneyland marathon decision.... :goodvibes

What exactly is a Garmin? I've read that several people use them here on the WISH boards, but I never really figured out what they are.....

Any Wii time lately? Still haven't had a chance to try it out yet. :(

Hope you have a great weekend!:goodvibes

Well, I was craving ice cream, so had frozen blueberries with ff cool whip. It was ok, but not the breyer's heart healthy I love - I just won't pay almost $7 for a container of ice cream and I'm out. Oh well!

No, Tracy, I've had NO Wii time lately and I think I'm suffering from withdrawal. DH broke down & bought a new TV over the weekend - finally - couldn't resist the Best Buy no interest til 2010, and I need to buy Hi-def cables for it to connect it - and had to order. I'm Bummed! Especially since I bought a new game on Wed with BB Bucks and haven't played it!

I'm exhausted and needing sleep, but DH is helping DD with geometry on my bed so it won't be any time soon! Hopefully I'll get to more journals tomorrow. I was planning too tonight, but not thinking straight.

Congrats on the loss - any loss is a loss. :cheer2:  . And congrats on losing almost 15 lbs in the past year. As you said, it is not a lot, BUT it also still a loss. Just think, if it weren't for your change to a healthy lifestyle, you could have gained weight in the past year instead of losing. Cooking all the time does stink, but it saves money (for disney!!) and it is healthier for DH and for all of you. So it is a good thing overall.

DD's homework :scared: . Is the term over soon so the teachers are having a big push?

Good luck on your DL vs. Minnie decisions. My vote is for DL! I'm sort of playing with DL 1/2 myself, but haven't really felt ready to commit yet.

DLand looks like a better possibility, Anna. Although I hate to turn down a chance to go to FL & see my DSis, her DD's and their DD's, CA is a shorter travel distance, I can take Amtrak & probably go for free, and it will be cheaper in the long run (no pun intended!). Plus, it is at the beginning of school so I won't feel so bad pulling DD and it will give her/us longer to train. If it's really 16 m/m I know I can do it because I did it here. She's another story!

I'm off early this morning to run my errands as the snow is supposed to start around noon and not stop til Monday sometime. Expecting another 6 - 12 inches where I live and I'm in the high mesa, not the foothills or mountains!

We're at the beginning of the semester and DD was swamped with Homework again last night. She quit at 11:30 and had only finished 1/2 of her AP Geometry. She's hoping to finish it before school & at lunch. Poor kid!

Have an AWESOME, Safe, Healthy weekend everyone! Hopefully I'll finish catching up on journals!

Well done on getting to the gym Julie :)
Thankyou so much for trying to motivate me too

How old is DD, that sounds like such a lot of homework & the lack of sleep must be effecting her concentration!!!

Lucky you to get to go to DL or WDW i'd take any!!!

Hope the snow turns out not to be as bad as they've predicted!!

Have a great (& warm!) weekend :)

Way to go getting to the gym!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

That is a lot of homework. DD12 is ending the semester next week. I had expected her to have tons of HW/tests for the end of term, but for the first time all semester she has NO HW this weekend. I guess the teachers finished up units last week and will start new units after the semester break (next Thursday & Friday) . I'm not sure what they will be doing for the three days next week though.:confused3

If you did DL, DD might not have to miss school at all. You could leave Friday afternoon. Do the race on Sunday, and go home on Monday. (Another wonderful reason to do DL :) )

Here's :wizard: that the snow is not as bad as predicted.

Great job on your exercise. I can barely cook, but I always use salt when I cook. Is that hard not using as much salt? I would think it would be a challenge unless everything would taste blah. I would do it for health reasons for my family, I just wouldn't be that thrilled about cooking that way. Although I think I'm not thrilled about cooking at all anyway so that would just another excuse not to! Have a nice weekend.

Hello Julie!

Just thought I would stop by and say hello!

Sure hope your daughter has a few moments of free time from homework.

Wendy

MIA, again!!! This English 4 class is going to kill both DS17 and I!!!!

Yesterday I got my letter from the Breast Imaging Center - mammogram apparently normal as it said no sign of cancer, come back next year. So, I go back to the specialist in Aug/Sept again. YEAH!!!!!:thumbsup2 Also the gyn office called and they have an opening 3/5 for my annual. Still need to make an appt with my reg Dr. for a physical/blood work, and the eye Dr., but getting the mammo over with was the biggest part.

DD is still swamped with homework - mainly AP geometry. DS17 is slowly getting the killer English underway - almost 1/6 done - and the Art/Music History is almost done. That will leave Physics.

Fortunately our weather is beginning to get slightly better so he was able to ride his cycle to work today for the 1st time in a long time. Eases my schedule a bit. DS20 is working again today - Praise the Lord! Saturday he got called in after being awake almost all night playing PS2. He worked 11 am - 6 p.m., then had to be back and worked 8 pm to 6 a.m Sunday Morning. Then back to work at 1 p.m. Sunday till 8. Needless to say he's tired. The funniest moment was during his break Saturday he was in the kitchen complaining to DS17 about working so much and DS17 said "Well, you didn't sign up for a desk job, now did you?? You COULD be over 1/2 way done with your degree and a real career." I'm glad DS17 had the sense to then leave the area or there would have been a fight. I quickly turned back around and decided I didn't really need a drink right then!:rolleyes1

Food was OK until Saturday when I made the mistake of making 4 loaves of Pumpkin bread, then bought salt & vinegar chips at Costco. Needless to say, those 2 items have been most of my diet Sunday & Monday. Today I'm back in control of my evil twin!! DH is out to a business dinner, so the kids & I will order in something DH can't eat. Not sure what, but I have 17 pts still left today.

DD and I went to the gym on Sunday & did weights. Yesterday I went to my fav thrift store in the morning & DS17 had me take him to buy stuff for the bug later so I didn't make it. I did go today & swam laps for 65 min.

I got confirmation today that my Garmin has been shipped. YEAH!!! Now if the weather will cooperate so I can get outside.

Off to figure out dinner....hopefully I will get to journals soon! Meantime I hope everyone is having a good week, and thanks for stopping by!

Julie,

That is great news about the mammogram!:goodvibes Praise the Lord!:cool1:

I'm glad to hear that your DS20 has been working a lot lately. Good for him!:thumbsup2

Sending lots of :wizard: :wizard: for your DD and DS and their schoolwork.

Have a great week, Julie!

Oh, I love salt and vinegar chips. Thats great you are cooking more, it will save money. But you may have to make a trip to the Taco Bell parking lot for a private dinner very soon. I gotta have my Taco Bell and it sounds like you do too! Homework is the thing that often rules my life, hope dd gets a little less in that department very soon. Keep up your hard work, you are making some serious progress!

:cool1:  :cool1:
Yay glad the mammogram came back ok :thumbsup2

I'm glad DS is sticking with his job, especially when the hours sound pretty gruelling!!

Hope you have a great week & the good weather stays around :)

Yea on the good mammo!   I loved your story about your two DS's - definitely a good idea for you to get a drink later! :rotfl: At least DS is working a lot of hours.

Hopefully DD's homework situation will even out a bit. Today is the last day of the semester for my DD11. Last weekend she had NO HW for the first time all year. Of course, yesterday she had double math, english, and history (she never has history HW usually), and a 2 page paper for her Independent Study PE. I guess some of the teachers wanted to get in one more assignment before the end of the term. :headache: . At least she has the next two days off!

Well, WI today was disappointing. By my scale, which has been exactly 2 lbs heavier than the WW scale for almost a year, I should have been down 1.5. Instead, I was down .2, again :sad2: . Down is good, but not what I was expecting. Sometimes I think I'm the world's slowest loser! sigh....... But better down than up. However, on my home scale I'm down 6.6 from 1/1/07. I like that number better!!

Went to the gym and swam laps for 70 min. I do a kickboard length, breast length, back length, kickboard, jog forward, jog backward, kickboard, crawl, backstroke.... 1 set takes me around 10 min. Today for the 1st time I took my pulse and it seems to get it up to 75 - 80% of max, so I would think it's good exercise, but I'm never quite sure. If I go to WW.com and track it at moderate, it figures it's 4 APs. I can certainly feel it in my arms, chest, legs and tummy! Wish I knew.....

Usually I come home from WW and have a treat - and too much of it. Today I was craving the salt & vinegar chips, but had about 6 and that was enough. I did have 2 of the Mrs. Freshleys, but called them breakfast. Now I'm having the rest of the steamed broccoli with ff cheese left from last night. So far 10 pts and I have 14 left. There's pork loin in the oven for dinner, but I'm not a meat lover. I'll likely have onion, carrots & potato. And hopefully have points for ff ice cream & blueberries tonight.

Our weather is finally near normal at 47 today. Back to beautiful - not that it will last! Hopefully I'll get in a walk tonight.

DDs choir is having an indoor Garage Sale Saturday. Everyone bring & sell their own stuff to raise money for the next trip payment. Not sure we will do it, but I sure have plenty to get rid of!

Saturday DD has yet another birthday party/sleepover to go to. Third one in 3 weeks - ugh! Sunday night DD and I go to see Mamma Mia! I'm hoping she doesn't end up sleeping through it!

Any loss is a good loss so Congrats  :cheer2:  :cheer2:  Your a doing awesome with your exercise. That swim workout sounds wonderful.

Sounds like you have a busy weekend. Have fun!
