Peaches & AussieAngel-

You are both so stinkin' cute! (As well as your whole family, Peaches.)

I'm a little busy today, so I won't be able to chat as much as normal.

You all better behave for MamaSnow while I'm away!!!!

Are we sharing family pictures? Oh...I want to play! Here we all are during Christmas last year! Goodness...we need to get a more recent picture of all of us!

You all are so cute! Love the color-coordinated outfits...and they even match your font! Wow, you are organized! :worship:

ForAandA...weather could be anything. Hopefully will need shorts for the afternoon, but mornings and evenings will probably be cool to chilly. We're hoping to get to Blizzard Beach one day, but not sure...

Peaches..... you are all so cute........... I miss the days when I could dress my kids up... DD is almost 19 and DS is almost 16.... they look at me cross eyed if I suggest we "match".... geez...

I'm guessing that's not going to last too much longer! I figure I got a few more years left. :rotfl:

Aw, thanks! Don't stay away too long! We'll miss you!:goodvibes

You all have been great and so friendly. :thumbsup2

Quick question: How is the weather in WDW in January? I wonder if we should bring shorts, or will it be too cold?

We are coming from NYC, so we will be coming from cold. Hope it's nice and warm :)

The reports I've heard from everyone is that the weather can really vary. It's been winter coat weather cold in January and also in the 80s. What most say is that it's cool in the mornings and evenings, bu the afternoons can get pretty warm. I'm planning to take a long sleeve zip up sweatshirt for everyone, a pair of pants, but most shorts.

And people say that they swim, or at least their kids swim. The pools at the resort hotels are heated to 80 degrees! But they tell me the air feels really cold, so just stay in the water. :)

:lmao: Yes, well...can you tell what my favorite color is? Honestly, most Christmas' we go with the more traditional reds and blacks and whites. But this year someone gave me a brand new dress for Georgia and I just matched everyone else to that dress. Scot happened to have a puprle shirt and I had a light purple sweater set. It all worked!

We have been there in February and needed gloves, hats and coats...brrrrrrrr... I am hoping for some nice weather.... I have never traveled in January.... for those who have can you tell me what to expect for lines....

Looks like they are at MK! Oh, you got it! But I'm not sharing, so don't even think about it!:rolleyes1

"Gee I'm out of it for a little while & you guys get delusions of granduer" and close up the thread? sorry couldn't resist the Han Solo line.

You made my Husbands day with that Star Wars quote! :thumbsup2 (He was on reading/posting with me earlier)

You need to choose the option for message boards. I think it's the IMG code option!:thumbsup2

JenJolt - Logan's a hunter/fisher too. I've done fishing, but even that makes me a little sad. I like to be removed from the process of actually seeing my food die.

This thread is like wildfire. I think eventually I'll probably lose track, and not be able to catch up every day.

I'm hoping for relatively warm weather in January, but just about anything will be better than what we'll have here.
I can't exactly remember what the weather was like 2 years ago. I'm pretty sure I wore capris a couple days though, and only needed a jacket once the sun went down. Actually, I remember it be hot enough one day that it was raining and we rode Kali River Rapids, but none of us were cold, even though we were drenched. I need to find the rest of my pictures to be certain. I usually wear long pants pretty much all the time though. I don't have very many pairs of shorts and capris.

I'm planning on taking my fiance out shopping soon to get him some new clothes, including Disney suitable attire. He works landscaping, and he doesn't really separate his clothes into work clothes and everyday clothes, so he ruins them all pretty quickly. He'll go along with me dressing him...I've done it before.

We are doing a Signature Dining on our last night and I have an ADR for Artist Point. It would be easy to eat in our resort and get packed up. The bad side is that I'm not too keen on the menu. Do you think I should switch to Narcoosee's?

Which would you choose AP or Narcoosee's?

Hmm, BellaSoleil... I don't really fancy Artist Point either. We don't have an ADR there, even though we're staying at the WL too.

I think you should change it. You've been "umm-ing" and "ahhh-ing" about it for a while now, and clearly you're not too excited about the prospect of eating at Artist Point...

Hey, I arrive that day, don't I!? You should totally cancel your ADR and make a new ADR at The Plaza, where we are eating! Yahooooo!!!

PAGE 8, are you kidding me???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go away for one morning and come back to 8 pages to catch up on!

Okay, I'm going to read now, be back. . . . :surfweb:

Narcoosees, because I've heard you can see the MK fireworks from it. I've never actually been there though, so my opinion may be invalid. Besides, the boat ride to the GF might be fun for your last night.

I think I've been getting on here too much lately, because I was reading in my Biology book (while sitting in front of the computer), got to the end of a page, and tried to scroll down using the mouse, instead of turning the page.:rotfl:

I'm happy to see the new thread! I haven't posted much in the last few weeks because we were in the middle of a move.

Question for you guys.. have any of you been tempted to switch to December for the FD offer? I'm really leaning towards it.
I LOVE January.. Dh has to work the holidays (he's a chef) so it's nice to take our 'holiday' and have family time in January. It gives him something to look forward to to push through those holiday-work days.
He's afraid to ask for a different vacation time, too, since January was already approved.
BUT.. we would save $1100 on our package. Plus the airfare is cheaper (we'd save at least $240). So that's a lot of money.
And.. my ADRs would be totally screwed up!
Eek.
I don't know what to do.

Yes, I have been very tempted to switch. I would love to see WDW all decorated for Christmas and save money in the process. But then we realized DH does not have any vacation days left this year, so January it is!! I'm sure we'll be happier with the January crowds anyway. Here's hoping for free dining in January!:wizard: :goodvibes

:rockband:
I also think they're singing "Walk This Way" :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 :cool1:

Okay - all of the Aerosmith chatter earlier reminded me of a story that I must share!

A few years ago, DH and I were living in DC and we took his mom to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. As we were walking along, I saw someone familiar and loudly whispered to DH, "OH MY GOD! IT'S MICK JAGGER!!!" DH looked over and bent double laughing. It was Steven Tyler from Aerosmith and he HEARD ME! :scared1:

Trauma.

DH has never let me forget it. He thinks the stunned look on Steven Tyler's face was hysterical.

poor guy.

Priceless!! :rotfl2:

Hi everybody! I love our new home! DD9 had a basketball game this afternoon, so I missed the switch. Her team won AND she didn't try to run away from the ball this time! We're making progress. :thumbsup2

I'm really going to have to think about posting my picture. I'm another who just isn't sure about it.

:woohoo: Congrats to your DD for a great BB game!! :goodvibes

Does anyone mind if I join????

I'll be there 7-15. First 2 nights are All Star Music then moving to either OKW or SSR. (just awaiting confirmation that should be coming sometime within the week)

WELCOME to the Snowbirds! :goodvibes

I just tried to read some of thread #1, and my head started spinning, lol! My name is Kelly, and we have a party of 15 going to The Wilderness Lodge from January 17th-January 24th.
