Yup, you get killed being from Canada.

I am going to keep hunting and when I find something that would adequately replace......She Gone. I literally paid 50pp 11 months ago.

    Valid points:thumbsup2

Like I said above with all the hysteria I don't see why i could not get 72-75 for a BWV with all current points.

I have been wondering about this since I became involved, why wouldn't you do this, the transaction seems pretty cut and dry.

Fidelity has the best contracts, but the worst service. They seem to be nice people, but very little follow through on anything. Be ready to follow up on every piece of communication you have with them.

Always always always put a time limit on your offer. Otherwise it won't be considered for a week while other offers are coming in. If someone comes in with an offer for a penny over yours, your offer is done and you waste a week looking.

I've had a broker refuse, in writing even, to put my offer to his client. They didn't treat me like family. Another broker refused to put in my offer because their client was firm. Which is fine with me, but the next week it was reduced to essentially what I offered.

Fidelity has never balked at my lowball offers. The lack of updates to their site drives me crazy though. Shouldn't be that hard in this day and age. They need to fix that nonsense right quick.

Same experience and I'd add that I tried with Fidelity on 3 different listings... all sold- I gave up... not worth the extra fee. TSS got our business 3X instead.

I had a similar issue with Fidelity but I got on the phone with Sharon and we identified 4 contracts that met my needs and spun through all of them in a couple days. I was clear with what I wanted and Sharon was very responsive. I think everyone that says the folks at Fidelity is overloaded are correct, however once Sharon and I started working together, she was very professional and responsive.

This is what I experienced - another note Fidelity HAS to list all contracts sent to them via Disney referrals many are not good situations divorce, financial difficulties, deaths ect.... and the sellers are not that reachable or responsive. Not a excuse for bad customer service though.

There web site is terrible and I know for a fact that they do not put new listings up right away like TSS does. I was told they had stacks of resale contracts to go through and would up date the site soon since that conversation last week the website still is not updated.

There were new BLT listings up there yesterday. There maintenance sucks, agreed, but there were new listings posted yesterday. Have your contracts been executed yet? If not maybe that is why your listing is still there.

If you don't have patience, then don't work with Fidelity. I passed ROFR on March 19 and still haven't received my closing papers. They told me I would receive them this week. If I don't have them by tomorrow, I will call them but I don't see how that will matter lol

I would call them. We passed around the same time and got ours last week. Sharon told us that if we hadn't been contacted by the Title Co within 2-3 days with closing docs to let her know. When we hadn't gotten them by the morning of day 3 I sent her an email. Within 2 hrs it was in my inbox.

    Thank you :)

Hmm interesting. I might call them today then. But my dh is in no rush to close. He said the longer he gets to hold onto his money, the happier he is that we haven't closed yet :rotfl:

I think a month is typical for closing on any timeshare.. I wouldn't be too worried yet :)

I posted this on anther thread by mistake - seems like this is the place...

Not having good luck with Fidelity.
Called and talked to Shawn (a couple of weeks ago) in the early morning. I told her I am aware it is a sellers market right now but I want to put in a lower offer on a contract and I want to put in a 48 hour stipulation on it because I don't want to be held up if something else comes along. She said not to worry because this seller will respond quickly. She then said, 'I will get back to you after I speak to her.' and she was going to hang up.
I asked 'How much are you telling her I am offering?' (because I hadn't said the amount yet). She laughed and said 'Yes, I need to know that.'

Needless to say, late in the evening the next night I called to check because I had not heard from her. She had me hold while she went through emails. She said 'She refused and said the offer was too low.' I asked if I could make another higher offer. She said 'Yes' and took the offer. Shawn then said she was going to try to get the woman on the phone this time.
I never heard back but noticed the listing was removed from the site last week.

Last week (it might have been Tuesday but I think it was Wed.) I called her to put an offer in on another contract (I wanted to pay asking price on this one). She was on another line and I was told she would call me back if I left a voice mail.
    Still waiting.......
If I see another Fidelity contract I am interested in, is it okay to ask for the other agent (I believe her name is Sharon?) - or is it already assumed I have to deal w/Shawn because she already spoke to me a couple of times? I am not looking to cause an issue among them.

I understand it is busy for them but it still seems like she should be a bit more organized w/customer service. I don't have any confidence in her.

I found calling and emailing Shawn at the same time works with getting a response. And I keep calling if I don't hear back. Yeah it seems like you shouldnt have to do that, but its a seller's market not a buyer's one so you have to be aggressive to get that contract.

I'm dealing with both Shawn and Sharon right now (two different contracts). I don't think you would have to be loyal to Shawn...she hasn't really done anything for you to this point....has she?
