As reported in the thread about my car getting broken into, the Police have returned my prescription sunglasses. They had been dropped or something and handed in.
However they now have a small scratch on them.

Does anyone know if I can take them to an opticians and get the scratch removed ? Can they do that sort of thing ? I think they are glass, rather than plastic lenses, if thats relevant.

I would imagine it would depend on how deep the scratch is. If you take it to somewhere like Vision Express they may be able to re-polish the lens if the scratch is only on the surface, but if it deep then they would need to re-grind the lens which they may not be able to do as it would affect the lens prescription.

They may be able to make a new lens to fit your frames though.
