Is there an official May 2015 check-in thread?

Dh & I just booked my birthday trip to DLR for May 15-17...I know, a week before the 60th kicks off . (We've got APs & will be back with the family in June.)

Yes, you read that correctly, a grown-ups only trip! Yippee!

So...if there's an official May check-in thread, please direct me to it

If not...who else is going in May?

I remember someone asking about a May thread last week and it sounded like one had not yet been started. You're best bet it ask the moderators if there is one and if not, ask if you could start one (assuming you wanted to).

If this becomes the "official" May 2015 check-in thread, folks should make sure Speechphi wants to be responsible for it and wants to maintain it. If that happens, I would recommend changing the title so that folks know this is the May 2015 check-in thread.

Thank you Figment...I haven't checked with a mod about starting one because I really didn't want to be in charge of it

I do like seeing who's going when & staying where, but only as a thread poster (not a maintainer)

If someone else wants to start the official May 2015 check-in, be my guest (well, touch base with a mod first!)

What exactly is involved in being responsible for and maintaining a check-in thread? I had no idea there was more to it that just starting a thread.

Well in this case the title needs to be changed to May check in or to that effect. Then for each post that lists a date/lodging is updated to the first page. It is not a difficult thing to do at all, if one is interested in doing such and has a bit of time.

A good example is the February Check-In thread. Usually, the OP maintains a list of who is going when in the first (few) posts. It's not really difficult, but it means the OP has to pay attention to the thread and keep it up to date as information is added.

It isn't like it is time consuming. It isn't a career either. Either own it or pass on it.
