Why that AVATAR concept art got unveiled in Japan rather than stateside. I've read this argument several times over the last few weeks, and it makes sense. For those of you who don't want to click on the link, the author wonders why Disney released the Avatar project information at Japan's first ever D23 event, instead of here in the US. After all, it's an Orlando project, right? The author believes that Disney wanted to make an Avatar Land in Japan as well. If they could get the Japanese park owners to split the development costs with Disney, then Disney could save some big bucks. Unfortunately, response in Japan was tepid, and it looks like Disney is going to have to go it alone on the Avatar development.
