Hmmmm, wonder what's up there?
Though it also would have been acceptable to be there for the pie shakes too. (And, yes, this is a real thing - they throw a slice of pie into a shake and blend it).
Izzy and I were in England, though.
I realized that we could go somewhere that I’ve only seen in other TRs: Christopher Robin’s Room!
Once the other little girl finished, Izzy didn’t hesitate to run up for some hugs from Tigger and Pooh :
(I had tried to get her to bounce with Tigger and she walked away, claiming she didn’t know how to bounce ).
And my favorite one, where I went a wee bit crazy goofing around with the Photopass edits :
While he watched that, Izzy and I made our way over to Canada (in my Disney obliviousness, I had never noticed the maple leaf fence before):
Ugh, the old Off Kilter stage – how I miss them! :
Toward the left, check out the cool Duffy head handbag!
To the right, someone is emptying the trash! It just seems like something you rarely witness at WDW – seems like it’s handled magically or something.
My next stop was the Pineapple Promenade Outdoor Kitchen
as we’d missed one important item there the previous day – the Violet Lemonade:
Well, that was a mistake. She loved it, declared it “MINE!”, and would not even let me try it until it was about halfway done.
I was rather distracted by the mom in the next stall yelling at her kids and threatening to smack them.
Draat! How did I miss a figment sticker in the Photmass editor? And my favorite one, where I went a wee bit crazy goofing around with the Photopass edits :
I hadn't noticed it till this recent trip either.(in my Disney obliviousness, I had never noticed the maple leaf fence before):
Well, that was a mistake. She loved it, declared it “MINE!”, and would not even let me try it until it was about halfway done. So, I got to sit there and watch my toddler drink the DIS-recommended cold, refreshing, purple beverage.
Sounds like a mom in need of an afternoon break!I don’t remember whether or not Izzy went, as I was rather distracted by the mom in the next stall yelling at her kids and threatening to smack them.
That really is a neat meet & greet. Definitely off the beaten path and you'd miss it if you didn't know where to look, for sure.I realized that we could go somewhere that I’ve only seen in other TRs: Christopher Robin’s Room! Of course, I had no idea where it was, but I looked around and could see the characters through an exit. Just needed to locate the entrance. Once I squeezed my way through the concert crowds, I found it – and there was only one other family in front of us!
Yes. Yes you did.And my favorite one, where I went a wee bit crazy goofing around with the Photopass edits
It looks like somebody decapitated Duffy!1.) Toward the left, check out the cool Duffy head handbag!
Well, at least she has good taste.Well, that was a mistake. She loved it, declared it “MINE!”, and would not even let me try it until it was about halfway done. So, I got to sit there and watch my toddler drink the DIS-recommended cold, refreshing, purple beverage.
Not a bad afternoon for either of you. But I've got to say that Dug wins. I mean, Emperor Palpatine and Jedi Mickey? Hard to beat that. And Dug’s show was wrapping up with a visit from Jedi Mickey himself:

It's really cute! I've seen it in other TRs, but never would have known it was there if not for that. Super cute meeting area!Oh I just LOVE Christopher Robins room! We found it on our own a few years back and it is such a lovely little area, quiet and perfect for meeting tigger and pooh!
Definitely! It was a cute meet and I love the background there.I am going to have to try and remember that about Christopher Robins room!!!
I was so happy to see a basically nonexistent line after getting through the concert crowd. Yeah, I don't know what was up with Izzy - she definitely knew how to bounce back then and I thought she would have LOVED to bounce with Tigger, which is why I suggested it. Silly girl!So cute - you had such great luck with the line for Pooh & Tigger! Izzy doesn't know how to bounce? LOL silly girl. I'm sure she would do it now!
I'm not sure on the little potties. I could swear I saw some somewhere on a past trip, but I have no clue. Maybe I'm thinking of someplace else? Ugh, I hate having to pick Izzy up to use a wet sink! Unfortunately, she is still short enough that it happens a lot (not quite 37 inches yet).I never did make it to get that lemonade, it sure does look good though! Which BCC have little potties? I want to say MK does but maybe that was just because I felt like it was awkward going in there. Aria gets excited when she sees "baby potties" and "baby sinks" though now she is a "big girl" and can reach the water in almost every sink. (Thank goodness because picking them up and leaning over a wet surface is very tough!).
I love it too! So cute! It's too bad we live across the country, because I'm sure they'd love to play together (with all their Disney-themed toys, of course).Anyway, the reunion is coming up! Yay! I love how Aria actually remembers Izzy now. They are totally Disney buddies and I love that!
Yeah, so that's why we didn't head that way.Colder temperatures.
Mmmmm, sounds tasty!I just had that earlier this year! Apple pie shake. Sooooo good.
I wish they had those there!Long way to go. Did you have an urge to see double decker busses in their native habitat?
Well, can't say that anymore.Never heard of that!
Thanks!Awwwww..... too cute!
Silly girl!
Nope, not at all.Oh, really? Doesn't show.
It was a nice little reminder of which country we were meandering though.Subtle, yet cool, no?
Off Kilter was great. I miss them.Never got the chance to see them.
Last time, it was axe throwing and log cutting demonstrations.
Meh. Seen it too often.
Someone lopped off Duffy's head and you think it's cool?!?!?!?
It seemed so strange - I mean, shouldn't it happen magically?Huh. You're right.
I've seen the garbage cans being wiped down, but not emptied.
Well, you have to go during the Flower & Garden Festival - and I guess it must have been near Canada.Where's that? Never heard of that one either.
Because I want...
... to try one of those.
I should've known better and at least tried a sip first.
Yep (well, that and helping her hold it so that it wouldn't be spilled everywhere).Love this shot. You can see she's holding on and you want to have a sip, too!
Sad. Don't they know it's supposed to be a happy place?Disney has that effect on some people, unfortunately.
I think you'll need to try it next time!Draat! How did I miss a figment sticker in the Photmass editor?
Glad I'm not the only one.I hadn't noticed it till this recent trip either.
Who knew she'd love it so much?
For sure! Meltdown time (for at least Mom) going on there.Sounds like a mom in need of an afternoon break!
I know, what a silly girl. She definitely knew how and enjoyed bouncing, but I guess she didn't want Tigger to catch on?That's so funny that Izzy said she doesn't know how the bounce.
I know, I can generally count on getting at least the second half when I let her try something, but this time I was concerned I wasn't going to get even a taste! Luckily, she did eventually tire of it.The violet lemonade does look pretty good. At least she let you have the second half haha
Fun feature of dueling iPhones, I guess. They sync up afterwards - some setting Dug did, I think. I'm actually just uploading to Photobucket directly from my phone for each update this time around, so they are all on there, mixed together.I love how your pictures are mixed chronologically even though you weren't together
I'm excited to share it!Can't wait to read about the toddler reunion
Happy anniversary to you as well! Glad to see you back on here again! Looks like all is going well in your household with the new baby. All caught up after a little hiatus from the DIS. Happy 10th anniversary! We just celebrated our 8th anniversary on 10/20.
Yeah, it really was a storm cloud that hung over me for the rest of the trip. I'd put it out of my mind, but it would randomly come back and I'd be filled with worry about what was going to happen.Sorry that you got news about work while at DHS. Even though it has turned out to be okay, you never want news like that hanging over your head while on vacation.
Understandable. I think all 2-year-olds enjoy that one.Too funny about Izzy declaring your lemonade as "mine". We are very used to that word in our house these days.
I'm excited to read more of yours!I need to go catch up on your Aulani report. And maybe even finish my own!
Haha, just wait until we go back to Hawaii. I'm hoping maybe I can finish the existing Hawaii one before that, but no hope of this one being done. And then throw on likely Disneyland a month later?! I have no idea how I'm going to do this. But I love having these reports to look back on, so it WILL be done, just maybe not in a timely manner. Cause, you know, there's still a June 2014 trip hanging out there too.So I thought I had commented here but realized it was only on your Aulani one - I can't even keep multiple reports straight commenting on them so kudos to you for writing multiple ones at the same time!
There are a lot of things that only make sense in Disney, I've found. Like one trip report, I think I named a chapter something like, "Going from New Orleans to Japan for lunch"."So we left off with Dug watching Stormtroopers while Izzy and I were in England" .... gotta love a WDW trip where that statement makes perfect sense
Indeed!Thinking back to your other TR where you commented how literal Izzy can be .... so nice to see her literally take time to smell the flowers
I should really know better by now.Glad you got to try the violet lemonade - though you did forget one of the tenants of toddler logic: "What's mine is mine and what's yours is mine"
Oh, really, only Tigger was there? Bummer. Wonder what Pooh was up to?Aww such cute pics with Tigger and Pooh! I missed Pooh on this trip since only Tigger was there when I went to England. I'm glad Izzy "unbounced" back into the pictures!
I'm terrible at describing taste and don't really remember very well, but I think it was very sweet. Main thing I remember is that it was cold and refreshing, which was much needed.OOOh violet lemonade! Will have to try that next year. Did it taste overly floral or sweet? I am wondering if it is like that lavender candy which I dislike. It's such a pretty color though so may be worth trying once.
Thanks! Her hair does get a bit curly most of the time. I think it's because of the length - not really long or thick yet, so it just kinda curls around with no real weight to hold it down.I LOVE IZZY'S CAKE! How adorable! I love her hair, too... is it curlier? Or does it just look that way in the picture?
Oh, cool, you should get back there! Fun place to visit!Your weekend in Duluth looked fun! My aunt and uncle live in Duluth so I've spent a bit of time there. I've been to Betty's Pies as well, but it's been far too long!
It really is a cute set for a meet and greet - clearly, they put a lot of thought into that one. I'm glad I finally got there.I finally found that Pooh meet and greet myself this year! Unfortunately, I found it late in the evening after the "meet and greet" part was done (although perhaps Anika wasn't so disappointed about being too late to meet the characters!). We were just able to peek at the room through the window (or around a corner? I don't really remember!) but it looked super cute.
Me too! That Violet Lemonade looks so delicious! I'm glad Izzy finally let you share "her" drink.
Absolutely. I'm glad I spotted it through the window and managed to find my way around to the entrance. Not terribly noticeable at all. That really is a neat meet & greet. Definitely off the beaten path and you'd miss it if you didn't know where to look, for sure.
Thanks, I was having far too much fun playing with new-to-me things in Photopass.Yes. Yes you did.
But I like the use of the Figments.
I found it rather amusing, myself. Despite warming up to Duffy now, since Izzy likes him, I used to think he was a pretty ridiculous marketing ploy by Disney, so that bag made me laugh. I'm sure it's a really cuddly bag, though. It looks like somebody decapitated Duffy!
True!Well, at least she has good taste.
For a Star Wars fan, that's a great afternoon. And I wouldn't have minded it. But I was pretty happy with our time in Epcot. Not a bad afternoon for either of you. But I've got to say that Dug wins. I mean, Emperor Palpatine and Jedi Mickey? Hard to beat that.
Thanks so much, I appreciate it!I love reading about all your adventures thanks for sharing
It really is super cute! I still have no idea why Izzy was bounce-less.It seems like a cute meet! I had no idea Christopher Robin's room was so much fun! But sorry Izzy lots her bouncing skills somewhere along the way.
You really know how to live on the wild side!
Yes, in retrospect, a sweet purple drink seems like something she'd want to keep for herself.Oh that's frustrating! It does look very refreshing and it's PURPLE! You can see why Izzy loved it! And I'm glad you got to try it eventually!
I really hate hearing stuff like that. And the fact that she didn't care who heard it?Oh I really don't like that. How sad!
Glad to pay it forward! I only knew about it because of the DIS too. And I finally remembered to check it out!I never knew about Christopher Robin's room! That's why I love the DIS. You learn something new every day.
Hmmm, sounds good. I wrote above, in another response, that I don't remember very well. I think it was quite sweet, but I KNOW it was cold and refreshing, which was the priority at that point.I'd also be curious to know what the Violet Lemonade tastes like. At Red Robin, they have a purple lemonade that has desert pear syrup in it. It is my absolute favorite drink. I wonder if it tastes like that.
Haha, nope NEVER. She may actually just order us all to bounce some nights. But I guess Tigger can never know. I always forgot about that meet too, so I'm glad it finally happened! We have still never done the meet in England either. I always seem to forget about it when we're there. So cute though. I had to laugh at her saying she doesn't know how to bounce. I'm sure she NEVER EVER bounces in "real life". Lol
Haha, sounds like frozen drinks are the winners with the kids! Izzy was getting some brain freeze too.We had a lot of problems with Paxton enjoying something we offered him a sip of and not wanting to give it up this last trip! He refused to try the Frozen Butterbeer the first time we had one, so the second time I convinced him to just taste it and he went to town! He actually gave himself a brain freeze lol we had to pry it out of his hands to get any more!!!
Well, can't say that anymore.
It was a nice little reminder of which country we were meandering though.
Well, you have to go during the Flower & Garden Festival - and I guess it must have been near Canada.
Sad. Don't they know it's supposed to be a happy place?
