Great resort pics!! I'm glad you shared because this is one that I might not get to if not staying there...though would be nice to try staying in each one someday...but who has the time? I do like that spanish moss though!

I love seeing resort photos. I think each one is beautiful and special. I live in SC, so Spanish Moss is everywhere around here. I once saw a guy at Wilderness Lodge stuffing some in his kid's diaper bag. I made sure to warn him, that even though he couldn't see them, that stuff has bugs.

Nice photos of the resort. I like the splash area near the pool. Hope your ankle felt better.

It really is a nice resort. I don't think it gets enough love. We have always enjoyed our stay there. The splash area was nice and DD and DH had a few water battles there. The ankle was better after a drink, some ice and a handful of advil. Thanks.

Day 5 – Part one

So Magic Kingdom is DD’s favorite park and she was up bright and early waking us up a 7AM so we could get going for a fun filled day. We grabbed some coffee and granola bars for a quick breakfast and headed over to the TTC. The monorail was PACKED with people, so we decided to use the ferry.

We were loaded up in no time and soon we were through bag check and into the park.

Our first stop was the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. But the wait was already an hour, so DD rode the Tea Cups.

After that, we rode the Little Mermaid ride.

After that, we stopped at Gaston’s Tavern for a Cinnamon Roll. YUM.

It was over 30 minutes, so we passed. I think FP+ has ruined those kinds of rides.

Anyhoodle, we had never done the Enchanted Tiki Room, so we got in line for that.

Um ew. That's just gross....glad you warned the guy about the potential for bugs. Did he think he was going to take it home and plant it?? Weird. Glad you enjoyed your stay and the ankle didn't give you too much trouble!

I don't know what he was going to do with it. I don't think people understand that it is a living thing and not something that is dead.

My ankle always gives me trouble. I ended up having to wear a pain patch to get me through the week. And it worked really well.

I never saw the Under New Management version. From what I understand they changed it back to original. It was nostalgic and entertaining, but not on our "do every trip" list. I would LOVE the chance to go to Disneyland. On my bucket list!!

MK was pretty crowded on this day. We headed back through this bottleneck towards Philharmaigc.

After that, we went to check the time for the Barnstormer. DD wasn’t feeling like waiting, so we crusied the gift shop instead and Stitch tried to eat her head.

We enjoyed our short but fun ride and then DD wanted to check out Tom Sawyer’s Island. It had been a couple of years since we had done this, so we headed that way. During this time, they were running two parades a day so we caught the noon Festival of Fantasy parade. Photos in next update. I think I’m at my limit for this one.

I am all caught up now, we are going to try Teppan Edo our next trip. The resort looks nice, the pool was quiet which is nice. Are you able to walk to Downtown Disney?

All caught up! The thing I love about Teppan Edo is the noodles. The Japanese hibachi restaurant in our area serves rice instead of noodles.

I love those crocs! I would wear those! After I turned 40, I can no longer wear sandals that have something between the toes. It has to be a slip on, which really limits the options.

You've really never been in the Tiki Room?! Look at me, judging you while I've haven't been in it since 1990!

My Golden Spoon would be pretty pathetic. We seem to eat at the same places that are our favorites.

That cinnamon roll at Gaston's Tavern looks fantastic! I've only had the LeFou's Brew there.

Looking at those wait times for the Mine Train remind of the time we were there with record capacity crowds. Yikes!
