If you get a GAC, do you have to have a wheelchair too?

    Has anyone heard that if you get a Guest Assistance Card that you have to get a wheelchair too? What if the reason you need it is not "wheelchair" needed, like Austism, ADHD, etc?

    No, I haven't heard this because it's not true. You might want to review the Disabilities sticky at the top of this board.

    The closest I have heard to this is the reverse: if you have a wheelchair you dont' need a GAC (well unless you have some issue besides not being able to walk/walk far)

    That's correct.
    Many people who have a wheelchair or ECV don't need a GAC because the CMs can see what they need.

    SOME people with autism or ADHD find that using a wheelchair or stroller is helpful for them because it provides a safe haven. So many choose to use one.
