First of all, I like crows. I live in Ct. and I rarely see crows during the summer or during the winter. When I see them, it is late fall. This past three weeks I have seen a lot of crows congregating on different lawns here and there. Today, I had "visitors". Where are crows in the summer and in the winter? What is the "secret life of crows"?

they're in my yard, hanging on my birdfeeders, chasing away the cute small birds that actually fit on said birdfeeders.

i swear...ours are the size of turkeys!!

I like crows, too. Here's one I took just this past weekend in Yosemite. There were a lot of them there. It was funny... the crow grabbed a plastic lid from a bottle that someone had, and she was chasing him all over until she finally got it back. The crow didn't fly away, just out of reach each time.

Someone I know had a pet crow years ago. It was pretty smart.

They're in Central Florida. Wow, they are big down here or at least they look bigger than the ones we had in Massachusetts.

Does anyone see them in the summer? They are supposed to be very intelligent and I think that they are pretty.

We see them a lot in the summer. I live in a rural area. Well duh Arkansas is a rural area. :lmao: We see them in Spring and Fall as well not in winter that much though. Mostly small black birds in winter and a lot of them.

We've had a crow infestation here. They are everywhere. It is like The Birds when you go outside and everyone's cars are covered in poo. There are so many flying in the sky that I run in and out of stores to avoid being poo'd on.

I see them all year here in the Poconos. I love their call. I read that they prefer deep forest, so while they visit populated areas, it's only to forage, I think. I don't think they nest near people unless they have no other option.

Come to Texas and see the Grackles. It can look like Alfred Hitchcock's "The Bird's", down here.

They look like little crows.

Crows are here in Texas all year long, I think.

I don't like crows. They have chased away all our song birds in Vancouver.

However, I did have a very happy encounter with a crow. He was picking at my garbage on garbage day. I went over to see what he was picking at. It was still in the garbage bag -- it was my son's watch! I had accidentally knocked it into the garbage can in his room. That crow saved me $60.00 that day. :dance3:

Not sure, but I think they might be sinister.

I had to wait for 5 turkey vultures to cross the street today before I could proceed. I think they are up to something nefarious as well. Again, can't be certain but all signs seem to point that way.

That looks like a raven. Crows have more fluff around their neck and their tail feathers have a rounded shape, like a fan. Ravens have sleek necks, their tails form a v shape and they are usually larger. We have lots of both living here and they are loud and aggressive.
