While waiting for the ride to begin, Keith snapped this great picture of me and Joey. Each ride that he got a little nervous on, he would put his hand on our backs and tell us, "Don't worry, I got you." Such a sweet boy!

Oh, this is just so SWEET!

Sounds like you all made the best of the day. Kudos to you for being so flexible and going with the flow. It allowed everyone to have the best day possible.

The only animals I took pictures of where of the animals in our family.

Each ride that he got a little nervous on, he would put his hand on our backs and tell us, "Don't worry, I got you." Such a sweet boy!

That is ADORABLE!!

The animals were super active during our ride. We had multiple giraffes come right up to our jeep, they were beautiful. We also saw the cutest baby rhino. At the end I was so happy to see the lions out because the last trip, they decided to hide from us. All 3 were sound asleep each on their own rock…what a life!!

From there we checked out the Pangani Forest Trail @Elevationist ….aren’t you proud of me?

When we got over there, I heard….”Mommy, I want to go back to Pop Century!” Uh, oh!

Noooooo!

The gentlemen that were in line ahead of us heard what I said and one of the guys said, “Follow her, sounds like she knows what she is talking about!”

Bahaha! That musta made ya feel good!

Once we got back to the room. Keith and Emma headed out to the Magic Kingdom just the 2 of them to have some Daddy/Daughter time.

Aww, yay! While it stinks you couldn't join them, it is pretty cool that they got to have some time for just the two of them!

It was not a bad walk at all. Our room was right there at the bridge so it was super easy. Plus Joey liked seeing the Finding Nemo stuff as we walked through AoA!

Thanks! With kids I have learned the best approach with kids is flexibility! I make the plans, but always keep in mind things can definitely change!!

Hi Sandy! Hope you guys had an amazing trip! Nice that you were able to give Joey some TLC when he needed it. Sorry I wasn't able to arrange a meet up when I was there, but with DH apparently needing a different type of trip than I had envisioned, I think I made the right call - no sense in letting him rain on our parades! I'm currently fighting with the pictures on my phone, but I'll figure it out one of these days.

No worries! As you can see our trip didn't exactly work out the way we had planned either.

Joining in, not caught up yet though. I did just read your Honeymoon Re-Do ones as well as the PTR for this one. I'll go back and read the 2014 ones as well. There was a lot from the previous ones I wanted to comment on but I can't remember most of it now. I do remember you saying you got Joey a tray for the car seat and I know exactly what you are talking about bc I looked into it. How did that go? I think I've decided against it only because I need two and they increased the price from $14 to $21. I'm going to try to use broken down boxes to make something similar if I can.

Also, we are in GA and we are employing the same ride down strategy. We will be stopping at Lake City, FL. We are doing about 2.5 hrs to Perry, stopping for dinner, then 2.5 hours to hotel, then 2.5 hrs the next morning to Disney.

Loved all the reports thus far. Looking forward to more.

All caught up now. One thing I wanted to mention us my mom's name is Sandra! This will be my 2 year old's first trip and my 4.5 yr old's first trip with memories (he was 9.5 months on his first trip). I made fairly extensive plans on touring plans but I know that we will most likely not accomplish everything on our plans. In fact, I'm sure the plans will go out the window several times. I hope I'm as easily flexible as you! Good job, momma!

I can't believe it --- I'm going to Disney in 30 Days!!!

You read that right, I'm leaving for Disney in 30 days!! I've decided not to do a PTR because honestly I'm not doing the planning my friend is doing it. Ok, let me compose myself and start from the beginning. It all started back with a Facebook group I joined for people that were planning trips for April 2014. It was a really fun group and a small number of us have remained Facebook Friends. Well, one of the friends that I met actually lives about 20 minutes away from me, and we have become good buddies.

Last week she posted that she wanted to go to Disney World in June because her husband is taking the kids out of town for a couple weeks to see his family. She was halfway joking, but she got me thinking and I told her if she was serious that I MIGHT be able to go. (Might as well put those AP's to good use). Well, I talked to Keith about it, and though he is jealous he told me to go for it!! I reached out to my boss and told him about it and asked for the days off in June, and he DEMANDED that I go. Luckily, for me is a huge Disney fan as well.

So, here is the rundown of the trip:

When: 6/15-6/19 (my birthday is 6/22, so we are celebrating that while down there too)
Where: All Star Music Resort
Why: Because we are 2 Mommies/Wives that deserve it

We went back and forth about staying onsite or offsite (AKA: cheaper), but when it came down to it we both like being in the Disney Bubble. Maria was able to find a great price for ASMu, so we said what the heck! Neither of us have stayed there before, but what I have seen it looks super cute. It's just the 2 of us so we know we will be comfy in the rooms.

Maria was able to line up the following ADRs as soon as we knew that this trip might be a possibility:

6/15/16, Wednesday (Arrival Day): 7:10pm Sanaa
This will be the 1st time I'm eating here. I've been dying to try it (hello bread service), but I have picky eaters in my bunch so it has never made the list.



6/16/16, Thursday (Magic Kingdom): 8:10am BOG
Yes! That is right...we grabbed us a Pre-Park Opening ADR for BOG!!! Unbelievable!! I'm not a huge breakfast eater, but I'm glad she grabbed this anyway. I was checking out the menu and I think I will stick to getting something off the children's menu at this one.

6/17/16, Friday (Epcot): 2:20pm Via Napoli
So, if you have read any of my previous reports you know this is a place I always reserve and then cancel because I know the family would probably enjoy somewhere else. Well, I finally get to eat there!!



6/18/16, Saturday (Hollywood Studios): 2:30pm 50's Prime Time Cafe
Yet another one that has been on my list before but removed. Maria hasn't eaten here either so this will be new for both of us!



I'm super excited about all the ADRs she was able to get for us!!

She also lined up the following Fast Passes (I told you she was doing the planning):

6/15/16 (Arrival Day) Animal Kingdom:

5:30-5:50pm - Festival of the Lion King
Yet another thing that has been on my list but never checked off (are you seeing a theme to this trip)

8-9pm - Meet Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost
This is for me while Maria is riding Everest. I may or may not use it, I might just wait for Maria while she rides EE.

9:15-10:15pm - Kilimanjaro Safaris
I can't wait to check this out at night!!

Looking forward to being at AK at night and seeing the night time show. We usually visit AK in the morning on our trips so I haven't been there at night before!

6/16/16 Magic Kingdom:

1:30pm-2:30pm - Thunder Mountain
I was bummed to find out that this will be closed during our October Trip, so I'm glad I will be able to ride it this trip!!

2:40-3:40pm - Splash Mountain
One of my absolute favorites, glad we got a Fast Pass!

8:20-9:20pm - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
We were shocked we got a FP for this since we are so close to the trip

6/17/16 Epcot:

12:20-1:20pm: Soarin'!!
This will be the opening day for Soarin' and I CANNOT believe we were able to snag a FP for it!!!!!!!!!

6:10-7:10pm: Character Spot
Typical Epcot Tier Filler Choice

7:20-8:20pm: Spaceship Earth
Another one of my favorites and must do's!!

Of course, if the new Frozen Ride is open we will try our best to get on that as well.

6/18/16 Hollywood Studios:

3:35-4:35pm: Toy Story Mania
Yet another FP that I'm shocked Maria was able to grab.

4:35-4:50pm: Indiana Jones
I haven't seen this one in awhile

5:30-6:30pm: Tower of Terror
Oh boy, this is the ride that scares me the most at Disney...LOL

Well, there you have it...a rundown of our impromptu Disney Trip. I still can't believe we are going. I think it will sink in when the Magic Bands arrive at my house. Luckily we made our room reservation on the last day we could modify the bands so we both chose purple bands!
