We have two trips booked for the upcoming months, one the first of April at the CR (tower room, shh!) and one in :earseek: 10 days at the Swan. Well, DH pulled his famous I don't know about the Swan, maybe the GFwould be better routine. I have both trips booked through DU but called Disney CRO myself yesterday just for grins. Was told that there was basically nothing available but BWV and OKW, GF, CR, all booked up. We decided to stick with the Swan. Well, this evening I contacted SueEllen at DU about seeing if she had anything available at the GF. She did but th elast night I needed booked before we could get it. Well, anyway, at this late date she was able to get me the YC, standard view for $227 a night with tax! Is she great or what? I think my days of self booking are gone forever!! :cool1: So, for anyone concidering them ,don't hesitate!

I love dreams! It just takes the hassle of having to worry about anything away from me. The fact that they will make my ps's and is enough for me!!!!!!!

:Pinkbounc Dreams Unlimited is the best! They have booked 5 vacations for our family to Disney - and yes - we have changed dates, added people, taken people off of the reservation, scheduled priority seatings and answered many, many questions about Disney! They definitely take the hassle out of reservations! Ask for Merrie Thomas - she has worked with our family for the past four years!

Yep, I'm with you guys..I just tell Shirley where I want to stay and she gets what I want and then applies those AP rates when they come out. Saves me a lot of worrying!!! That's the only downside to owning DVC...not getting to use Shirley and DU as much as we used to. Now I have to make my own PSs.

Ok, my question is I know what DU is, but how do you go about talking to someone? I have been on the website and it says that they dont conduct business over the phone, just through email.

I booked the Swan through their website, but I havent heard anything from anyone...........let alone know what their name is.

That is great to hear! I'm planning on a 2006 trip and plan on using DU.

I just wish they'd hurry up and answer my email asking when I'll be able to get a quote!

great to hear they were able to accomodate you. But I have a question too.... why is it they can get rooms if CRO doesn't have them??? I know there are different "pools" of rooms for discounts and stuff but does DU have their own that CRO can't give out??

I was all set on booking myself, but maybe I should consider DU. I like to make my own PS's and stuff though, guess I'm a bit of a control freak that way.

I'm so confused. Should I use Small world through Mousesavers.com or Dreams Unlimited? Do they both provide the same pricing? I am planning a trip for November and would love to get the AP rate for a room. Who would be the best to find that rate for me and apply it? I would rather have someone else watching for the discounts. I am afraid that I might miss them when they come out. Thanks for your help. :Pinkbounc

The website for Dreams Unlimited is www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com. For those who are still waiting to hear back, I think I only had to wait a few days before I received an email reply. The initial reply directed me to log-in to the website for an overview of what I had requested. A couple of days after I made the deposit online, I received an email from my reservation specialist (Sue Ellen) and we've been emailing each other ever since. I feel so much better having her help me plan this trip.

I've read that DU received comissions on the room they reserve for you. Are their commissons based on how much the room is at the time of booking; and say hopefully a code does comes out, is it based on the lower price; or do they just get a commission for eash room reserved? Just curious.
Also, will DU keep getting me lower rates when they come out? even if its muptiple (sp?) times?

I have a question too...I currently have a reservation in October at POFQ (yay!). However, if the Swan/Dolphin come out with some low rates like this past year, I'd be tempted to change my reservation over to either one of those hotels. But...my travel agent at DU (Merrie Thomas) has been wonderful to me! Will she lose out on commission if I switch over? I know that there is a separate reservation form on the DU website for booking the Swan/Dolphin hotel and I also believe that they aren't able to do your PS's if you book at the Swan/Dolphin. Correct me if I'm wrong though!
    Thanks.

Do they get the AP and room anly discounts for you or do you have to call or write them back to get it? Or do you autamaticly get the discounts with them? I know they only have so many rooms for the discounted rates so do you get it with DU or is the chances the same as trying to call and get it yourself? Thinking of trying them for our december trip. WE have AP's and it would be a load off if I didn't have to watch nad wait and hope for a code to come out and then fight with everyone else to try to get one. ;)

If you decide to give Dreams Unlimited a try - upon filling out the initial room or package request - they will ask for information like if you are a AAA member or if you hold an AP and if you have a Disney VISA card. All of this information gets noted with DU. Your first quote will contain the best rate that they can find with the information you have given them. If you are a pass holder, for instance, your reservation is earmarked to be on the lookout for a new rate. If that rate becomes available Dreams Unlimited will automatically rebook that room for you and let you know of your savings.

Yes, Dreams Unlimited will continue to search for the best rates for your room up until it is time for you to check in! Just make sure that your specialist knows that your family is looking for say - AP rates or for a better rate at an upgraded hotel. I am not sure about the commision question??? As I noted before - it takes the hassle out of attempting to find those great AP rates!

I have often wondered - how they do what they do??? DU is on top of all of the best rates and somehow can book them for you! :flower1:
