Thanks for your kind comments and reading through. The Brown Derby is a wonderful, relaxing experience. The place is based on the 2-hour, 2-martini lunch of yesteryear. The lobby is breezy, the dining room, dark and cool, the soup-piping hot, and the gin-ice cold. If you (and the children) with you can appreciate that-you're in for a time. If someone is trying to squeeze their dining dime hard and play beat the clock on a one-park-one day marathon-probably not a good idea. I felt like a movie star while I was there. My next round of dining plans is now posted as a pre-trip in this section. The Derby is not on the list, not because of the quality of the food or experience-but because GF really wanted to do 50's Primetime the day we are in the Studios (or whatever the place is called these days).
